Exclusive: Putin Halts All Talks With White House
Daily Beast ^ | 4/25/14 | Josh Rogin

Posted on 04/25/2014 12:58:14 PM PDT by Nachum

As new U.S. sanctions against Russia loom, the Kremlin has shut down—at least for now—intensive high level communications between top U.S. and Russian officials.

Since the invasion of Crimea, President Vladimir Putin and President Barack Obama have had regular phone calls in an often half-hearted attempt to deescalate the ongoing crisis inside Ukraine. But as the U.S. and EU prepare to unveil new sanctions against Russia, Putin has decided the interactions should stop. The Kremlin has ended high-level contact with the Obama administration, according to diplomatic officials and sources close to the Russian leadership. The move signals an end to the diplomacy, for now.

“Putin will not talk to Obama under pressure,” said Igor Yurgens, Chairman of the Institute for Contemporary Development, a prominent Moscow think tank, and a close associate of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. “It does not mean forever.”

Obama and Putin last spoke over the phone on April 14, a call that the White House said was initiated at Moscow’s request. Obama urged Putin in the call to end Kremlin support for armed, pro-Russian activists creating unrest in eastern Ukraine. Obama also warned that the U.S. would impose more “costs” on Russia if Putin continued his current course. According to the Kremlin’s readout of the call, Putin denied Russian interference in eastern Ukraine and said “that such speculations are based on inaccurate information.”

...”The US has progressed from the world’s policeman to the world’s busy-body neighbor...sticking our noses into things that are none of our business”....

We’ve gone with the EU on pretty much everything...Obama won’t move without the EU on anything...and anything they want he’ll go with. We’ve lost all leadership role on the World Stage...but they sure want our money and our “experts” as they now have in Ukraine.

Note that the Eu has been very quite now that things have heated up in Ukraine.....it’s our money, and our military, and our people in control of all Ukraine does currently.....but this FOR the EU.

...”Obama is not competent enough to deal with major adversaries like this”.....

He can’t for that reason....besides he needs the EU’s permission....the big boys in Brussels etc. to do anything.

I’m so upset with all we’re putting into Ukraine, which we will get nothing for doing so....billions to build their Gov. and teams of people traveling there....all to “snatch” Ukraine out of Russia’s influence so that Putin has to deal with the US at this time..and then we’ll hand it over to the EU.....just like we did Iraq’s oil. We walk away with nothing for this country.

Oh but they will put a missile 'in Ukraine'...it's part of the deal and condition of the US funding and supporting the protest, and all the control we currently have over Ukraine's elections ahead, and Government now...as well as the military movements Ukraine makes.

Putins got a point, Obama goes on and on about one thing then does anther. Its better just to wait and see what he does rather than wast time listening to what he says.

Obama: "Look Vlad, I have a pen and a phone. Right now, I'm using the phone to ask you to stop the aggression. Don't make me use my pen...to draw another red line for others to cross without consequences."

“we will get nothing for doing so....billions to build their Gov”

But the Soros Group Billionaire Oligarch’s will make wheelbarrows of money, and some of that will get funneled back into Democrat Campaigns.

And after all, isn’t that what is REALLY important?

“.Putin is afraid to speak with Obama. He fears the overpowering personality and articulate powers will cause him to cease his aggression”

Lol... That’s hilarious

There’s no way Ukraine is going to come out of this without a corrupt Government and all who will “take” what they want from it’s citizens.

Right now it’s all about who’s going to control the cash flow when all is said and done. The Citizens lost their fight the day Maiden right Sector hijacked their protest, took arms and crossed the line to a coup...which basically took it out of the hands of the Citizens.

So now nothing is about the Citizens and what they want....excluding of course the Ukrainians in the East and South who continue to fight against the Kiev Gov. which they refuse to recognize.

"'Putin will not talk to Obama under pressure,' said Igor Yurgens"

So the "pressure" is too much for him. Putin's refusing to speak to Obama. Acting like an angry wife to a pantywaist Democrat is no way to gain the respect of real men, but there's no more to expect from an old commie.

"My hope is that FR folks use judicious and wise use of their words on FR, at least until we are past what appears to be coming."

How about a picture of an opinion then? More tactful and nice, perhaps, than saying, for example, "Nuke the mouthy enemy" or something like that?

Straw polls show Alaska voting for Putin over Obama for the lower tax rates.

Yeah...like a 13% flat rate and a postcard size tax form.

Pictures, photos, hand drawings, napkin scribbles, graffiti, lead impressions, wood carvings, sculptures, etc. are all acceptable for counter-intuitive, reverse-logic, decoy, and dis/mis information to the enemy. And probably to ourselves. But not words, please and thank you.
