Three weeks ago, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) responded with a simple message to the news that Affordable Care Act enrollment had exceeded expectations: House Republicans will continue to work to repeal this law.
Three weeks later, it appears even Boehner doesnt believe Boehners bluster. [ ]
Boehner specifically told his audience, (To) repeal Obamacare
isnt the answer. The answer is repeal and replace. The challenge is that Obamacare is the law of the land. It is there and it has driven all types of changes in our health care delivery system. You cant recreate an insurance market overnight.

Can’t expect MSDNC to have a truthful headline.
If repeal is not the answer, then soon-to-be ex-House Speaker John Boehner is asking the wrong question.
LOL, but totally true.
The GOPe would be working to fix Prohibition, rather than repeal it...if it were around today.

Profoundly true. Good post my FRiend.
Limp-dick Boner, at it again.
I suddenly have the feeing I have been on the front line, the enemy is very weak, and I can see how we can win. Meanwhile the generals are in the back surrendering.
> Boehner concedes ACA repeal isnt the answer
Yes, it is !!!!!
ACA repeal is the proper and correct answer.
Nothing else will do.
That was Boehner's quote. Sorry, I don't buy the PMSNBC line.
If the repeal of the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010” is not the answer, then obviously, the question is not being framed correctly.
Certainly, the other part of the equation is “replace”, but there is nobody actively discussing the terms of that replacement.
Boehner isn’t the answer.
Frankly, John, I’d prefer that you repeal it, then f*ck off as fast as you can.
I suppose if Boehner was a plumber, he’d prefer to patch hole after hole after hole after hole rather than concluding that the length of pipe is fundamentally defective and just pulling it out and replacing it with something more reliable.
That’s the problem with Obamacare. They can “patch” every problem that’s come up so far and still have no idea how many more “holes” will show up as we get deeper and deeper into the pages of that leviathan document.
Better to pull it and put something into place that isn’t riddled with surprises.

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
He wants to repeal and replace it.
MSMBC is spinning it.
Hell, they destroyed one overnight...
I am not as critical of Boehner as others on this forum, but what he said re: immigration is essentially unforgivable.
With that written, please please please notice where this article comes from and how it prevaricates. It’s MSNBC and it lies about what Boehner said.
There is no difference between Boehner and nearly everyone else in a position of leadership in the Republican Party. As a matter of practical politics, repealing the ACA will not happen unless the Party puts forward something with which to replace it.
There is enough to criticize Boehner for without letting MSNBC push our buttons.
PING.
