On Wednesday Darrell Issa demanded Attorney General Eric Holder answer new questions about the Justice Departments role in the IRSs targeting of conservative groups. In a letter sent to Holder, Issa sought answers about a newly released email between former IRS official Lois Lerner and DOJ official Richard Pilger in which Pilger asks Lerner When you have a moment, will you call me? Ive been asked to run something by you and requests who at the IRS DOJ folks could talk to about ways to target politically involved non-profit groups.
So far none of the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) reported on this latest IRS scandal development on their evening or morning shows.
On Thursday the Washington Examiners Susan Crabtree reported the following:

I completely support you for President in 2016...hell in 2014 ;)
Darrell Issa is a no balls wimp!
To all:
I just want everyone to note something here and watch it repeat each and every time someone makes a point about the leftism of the GOP and others agree with it.
As we see on this thread, there is a general acceptance that Issa has at minimum, blown it. the reason why is open to disagreement, but in general, the facts are all there and being discussed.
Every time this happens, a moderate voice of reason appears to explain to us all how we have to ignore what evidence shows us, do nothing about it and get out there election day and vote for more of that.
sure looks a lot like someone has a ‘job’ to do...
It sure seems so. Almost like Karl is with us.
And now poof that voice of reason is gone. Just like a troll to go and hide under a bridge
The networks will protect this regime to the bitter end.
ABC, CBS, NBC: “Nothing to see here, look over there and hear Cliven Bundy’s racial remarks. We’ll have a 3 hour special report on that tonight at 8.”
Lots of ‘Karls” are with us. But they made online buddies to defend them.
No one wants to think their Internet pal might be a political hack spreading the party meme of the day. But some are exactly that.
Well that’s why I wanted your help in case he was troll. I didn’t recognize Tulane but I mostly lurk anyway. I met that Karl a few years ago at a roundtable dinner and stupidly asked him to sign my rush hat. Now I just wanna sell it on ebay. I’m not a party girl anymore, I am an issue girl. I got smart.
Oh BTW, look for people calling for moderation, using leftist memes and words like ‘offended’ ‘racist’ and such, projecting, a fanatical urge to hop from one subject to another and completely ignoring questions while posing questions of their own...then claiming YOU won’t answer their questions( more projection).
Also question why the rock ribbed ‘conservative’ is advocating for things conserves have held as gospel to be abandoned ...if just till after the next election.
that is the very definition of situational ethics. And that AIN’T conservative.
You are my kinda guy Norm. Its refreshing to talk with folks like you guys on Free Republic. I can kind of smell people like this. I can’t stand moderates any better than democrats. Far as I am concerned they are the same. There is no in between, you either have ethics and morals or don’t. The lukewarm are the most distasteful to me.
Dont say that ‘lesser evil/no matter what’ crew posting pics of Yosemite Sam on a dragon, saying “That’s you” and thinking they won the argument ;)
And yes one abject moron that doesn’t post much anymore (Thank God) did tat with me every time he lost an argument. Which was every time since he isn’t too bright.
Such is the state of ‘Conservatism’ today. People like that ruining what it stands for. By design.
Oops...Edit “Don’t say that too loud”
Sorry bout that ;)
OK third try...
Dont say that too loud or you will get the lesser evil/no matter what crew posting pics of ...
I really need sleep....;)
Well okay you’re sweet. I don’t like to match wits with the unarmed so I won’t engage them. I’ll talk to nice people like you.
It frustrates me to no end. conservatism is as simple a concept as there can be. Binary. There is a right and a wrong. A good and an evil.
If people would stop attaching grey to black and white issues, we might make progress. But as we see repeated thread after thread, lots of people are fine with grey everywhere.
Issa has done nothing in several years. That’s a fact. Every time he gets a Holder/Lerner on the stand or close to a point where action is required, he starts another investigation.
Conservatism in it’s actual form says that this is wrong. Justice delayed is justice denied. It says nothing about political parties or elections. So there is one logical conclusion. People excusing the delays and concerned with the electoral consequences are not advocating conservatism. People doing it are not by definition, conservative.
But the excuses and rationalizations are many.
It frustrates me too. Well here is something to make you laugh if just for a moment and give some respite from the frustration.

Issa and congress can actually DO SOMETHING. They chose to NOT
do anything, other than use it as a campaign tool.
Nothing wrong with winning elections.
You can punish lawbreakers and win elections at the same time.
I guess the reason Issa did not put Hillary under oath when she testified,
was Issa did not want to piss off the female vote, so it would help them
“Win” elections?
So you don’t arrest an attorney general because he is black,
You don’t put the most polarizing figure of our time under oath
because she is female...
Nonsense. The only thing it does is give your base a reason to stay home.
You probably think things will change if the GOP takes the Senate.
Wrong. The 14 Gangsters will raise their ugly head again.
