no one is better off as a slave

Isn't the dependence so many US citizens have on the government providing for them a form of slavery? It isn't just blacks who are suffering from a government that gives people everythning they need....except the opportunity for self-sufficiency.

It's the new slavery.

Ah, but they’re enslaving TWO classes of people now.
The recipients are slaves of dependency,
and the providers are slaves to the guns of gov’t, forcing them to provide or else.

No - government dependance is a choice, slavery is not. Dr Ben Carson is an example of someone who made the choice against dependance, a choice he wouldn’t have been able to make if he were a slave.

At least most people saw the old slavery as slavery, and could rise up and fight it. The slavery of today is disguised as “community, love, equality”. And if you stand up against that, you get condemned, like Mr. Bundy.
