When this story first broke I seem to remember an article warning conservatives to keep a distance. This is why.
Oh come on...You know damn well the press was going to "find something" on him, no matter what, even if they had to make it up.
Even if he did say it, he’s entitled to his opinion. That’s a First Amendment Right, right there.
It changes nothing. And for anyone to “keep a distance” is just ridiculous - it’s what the other side wants, so they can isolate and destroy the guy.
Sunshine Patriots and fair-weather friends will run from him. Those who recognize the bigger picture will not.
Any politician that runs from him is a gutless coward, and should not be trusted. They’d do the same to you in a heartbeat, should become the cause celebre at some time in the future.
Personally, it smells like a setup to me. It IS the NYT after all.
And I’m sure that Tommy Henderson, the rancher in Texas land dispute, is preparing his racist remarks to be delivered to the NYT as I write this. Oh wait, he is from Texas, so that makes him a racist right there!
