"how does one mistakenly list 1000 ..of.anything"

It's easy with computer files and no quality control.

It's also very easy to fraudulently list 1000 of something and claim it was computer error.

“inadvertently” listed for “a certain period of time” during the open enrollment period.

Yeah, right...

Good old fashioned fraud of the bait and switch variety.

I guess they wanted to make sure “their” doctor was on the list to cover for Obama.

how does one mistakenly list 1000 ..of.anything “

We get calls from patients all the time who call wanting an appt and state that one of my doctor clients is listed in their network. Networks are combining at a rate never before see, providers are never notified that they used to be in Network A which has now been taken over by Network B to form new Network C. No paperwork, no authorization from doctor.

Doctor’s office staff have to try and keep on top of all of this which is often almost impossible. Most doctors don’t even know where a copy of their original contract is or any of the small print that it contains which allows networks to move the docs as they wish. Only recourse is to resign from the new network but in the intervening 3 to 6 months they may be forced to see those patients. Then they may find they still can’t get rid of them because of a medical liability issue.

It is all a hopeless mess and one of the reasons why so many docs are getting out of the insurance business totally before everything totally collapses.

It appears unicorns have trouble tying with those little hoofs and simply made a few mistakes.

That's OK. Their intentions were good. It's now fixed.

Unfortunately, so are the people who signed up for this fraudulent "insurance" scam thinking they were going to actually see a real doctor.

You can bet that nationwide, not a single doctor was accidentally omitted from a provider list.

If someone without connections to a corrupt White House did this, it would be fraud and prosecuted as the serious felony it is.

This is only half the story.

The other half is the thousands of Californians that have no idea, or are just finding out, that they have signed up for health insurance that they had no idea was actually ObamaCare.

The doctor’s office my sister works at had all of their doctors falsely listed as ACA doctors, AND EVERY DAY they are getting more patients coming in that had NO IDEA that the insurance they’ve recently purchased was actually ObamaCare.

A great many of them are quite incensed.

Additionally, the doctors office has found that it is quite difficult to tell if the insurance presented is actually ObamaCare, without actually putting the account number through the system.

It appears that there has been rampant fraud, at least in CA, to sell ObamaCare insurance as Non-ObamaCare insurance.
