Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush wanted to cash out after he left office, but those business entanglements may hurt him if he chooses to run for the GOP nomination in a party that is increasingly becoming opposed to crony capitalism.
According to a report in The New York Times, "Bush left public office seven years ago with a net worth of $1.3 million and an unapologetic determination to expand his wealth, telling friends that his finances had suffered during his time in government."

Surprise, surprise.
Big grubment Bushies acting like big grubment Bushies. Color me shocked.
And after he went around asking other people to save her life, and they didn’t, he cowered under his desk. He had the National Guard and the police at his disposal, and he refused to save her life.
Members of the Big Guv Group never wander too far away from the group.
I have voted for my last Big Government RINO at the top of the ticket.
This is vintage Bush Crime Family stuff. They are just as bad as the Clintons but classic bluebloods as they go about it. You could make a movie about the two families but Sergio Leone and Eastwood already did years ago.
Whigs will give him the nod and try to guilt conservatives to vote for him.

“Not voting for the empty suit is the same as voting for the empty pant suit!”
“This Nation’s Only Hope is in Jeb Bush!”
blah blah blah
And after he went around asking other people to save her life, and they didnt, he cowered under his desk. He had the National Guard and the police at his disposal, and he refused to save her life.

Indeed. Punked by a state district court judge, and he will stand up against rivals like Russia or China, false friends like the EU, or enemies like Soros or Islam?
He is a fungible cog in the globalist machine; uninspired, uninspiring and not worth his brother’s nail clippings.
I don't think it's that simple.
Remember when Huckabee was gaining traction and the ptb declared nutty McCain as the unstoppable frontrunner? There was a decision that it was better to lose with McCain than to win with a conservative (yes, I know Huckabee's imperfect, but he is conservative and articulate)
Remember when Quayle and SteveForbes had a lot of support and Bush 2 was sold as a true conservative, even though he'd never voted or opined about any DC issues? Oh, yeah Quayle used an alternative form of spelling potatoE; that knocked him out.
And then take the last conservative standing against Romney. That would be Santorum. He was doing quite well until he started yapping about the "need to compromise".....doesn't get it, does he?
My point is that we constitutional conservatives have our work cut out for us. This info about Jeb should disqualify him. We need an articulate constitutional conservative who has good instincts who can inspire the nation with a message of how to make the US great again. As near as I can figure out, Jeff Sessions is one of the few still standing. DeWine? Huckabee? If one of these politicians is a true constitutional conservative, having a since message will get that person the necessary support.
Cruz....too fast to beat the war drums. RandPaul....all over the place. Neither one had good instincts to speak out in the Bundy situation as it unfolded. The globalists? No. I'd rather see hillary in there and have an opposition than to have a 'pub President who's against us, marginalizing and ignoring conservative gains.
Agreed with most of your post except the above.
No! I do not want a Hillary presidency with a slew of SCOTUS justices ready for retirement. I do not want new pro-abortion justices who will last 30 or more years.
I do not want more tax increases. I want a smaller government. None of that will happen with Hillary.
I don’t either. But with a THIRD member of this trinity in office it won’t make a dime’s worth of difference. I will not vote for another Bush - ever.

Hey I have been saying for a while now that principle doesn’t matter. I think it’s obvious that people who stick to principle hate their country and support Obama.
Purists are evil Laz. They are responsible for trying to elect people we can trust and clearly that’s the wrong approach. The correct approach, as I have long argued is to get people elected so they can then side with democrats. Like Flake did. Like Rubio did. Like RandPaul did. these are people we need, not people we can trust to believe in something good and right. Because that just leads to problems.
Look, when it comes right down to it, we have to moderate ourselves. We need to accept illegals because frankly, they do the jobs no one wants to do. And to be blunt, hit the women you don’t want to hit. Sometimes with cars, sometimes with bats. But they provide a service Americans just won’t do.
Likewise, we must embrace the Gay. Because they just want to be left alone. They are just like us really. We have too many people as it is and they don’t breed.
So lets all get behind the RINOS and tell all those purist idiots to sit down, shut up and get back on the plantation.
Oh wait, I never said any of that. But I and others got screamed at by Yosemite Sam picture posting idiots and fellow travlers on each one of the blown out sarcastic points made above.
Because they really do thing ‘winning’ is everything. and are just fine with destroying whatever is left just to avoid admitting they were wrong. So full steam ahead.
Because these are the last few days where things will be even slightly tolerable.
It will get much worse. MUCH worse.
Nope. I actually enjoy making idiots look like idiots for the most part. but you are right (as opposed to being wrong the other day ;) that it will get worse. A ton worse. Just wait till Jeb ascends to the GOP nominee. We will see excuse making by psuedocons that made the Romney fiasco look like tea and crumpets.
And I fully expect a doubling down on the stupid.
The only frustrating thing is that even a puppy knows to stop whizzing on the floor after he has his nose rubbed in it. The right wing base, a big chunk of it, does not appear to possess the sense of a freaking dog after the GOP had rubbed it all over them.
Funny, I haven’t seen Sarah Palin on the board of any financially fishy firms and she gives just a few paid speeches a year.
But which former governor does the GOPe point to for garish money-making since leaving office?
We are all so screwed.
Jeb Bush would be a disaster. His "act of love" statement reveals once again he is mentally unstable, as others have also noted.
If we're goin' down as a nation anyway, I'd just as soon have hillary as support a backstabber. The Supreme Court won't matter if there's no nation.
