Franklin Graham has taken what many will see as a controversial stand, one that praises Putin for passing a law that protects children in Russia by penalizing those caught propagandizing children with homosexuality or pedophilia, while on the other hand criticizing our own president and his administration for pushing the gay-lesbian agenda in America which is contrary to Gods teaching.

We are as a nation. But as individuals we do what we can to end up in the right place. Perhaps a little bit of persecution will help wake us up.
Putin isn’t all good, but he isn’t all bad neither.
Your writing is really incoherent.
Cite a source for what?
There was a thread on FR a few weeks ago saying we should be very wary of these claims that Russia is some kind of Christian nation. I don’t have a laptop right now. - just a borrowed iPhone so I can’t find the thread if it wasn’t removed.
But a quick search shows others had the same idea

I disagree with you
You’re talking about Pelagians and about wolves that are cancer to the body. Come on, no one talks like that. I’m trying to figure out if you are trying to be a troll or if your sentences just came out wierd. No offense intended.
So, do you think Putin is a Christian, and that Crimea legally joined Russia?
The anti Russian propaganda is pretty cartoonish.
Granted Putin is no Angel but he’s no Stalin or Hitler either.
Considering where we stand fiscally these days I really have to question the motives of anyone hell bent on pushing us into a cold war. Cold wars are won on money and superior tech and we are desperately broke. Entering into a needless cold war will finish us.
No, I’m not fan of Putin and have been on the side of Ukraine. Putin is a KGB thug in my opinion.
You seem really worked about this Ukraine thing. You must be Ukrainian or have Ukrainian family?
Who said they thought Putin was a Christian? He does not need to be a Christian to do what he did.
Then you're doing just fine, even if you didn't understand that post.
Would you have been happier if he supported Obama? I voted for Romney so I guess I “supported” him.
You have cited reference and it looks cre3dible.
Certainly the possession of Child pornography in Russia is not illegal. Laws against it's production weak and enforcement weaker.
Thank you.
I also particularly like the way Russia deals with pirates and muslims... Pirates magically die at sea maliciously by accident and if they cant find the particular muslim that set off a bomb, they just disappear all of them within vicinity.
Definitely not in the spirit of “Bravo!”
...Russias embrace of the traditional Christian position on family issues is infuriating our elites.

As well as a menagerie of trolls and living fossils at low levels of influence.
~Certainly the possession of Child pornography in Russia is not illegal. Laws against it’s production weak and enforcement weaker.~
It is absolutely illegal since February 2012 under Mizulina’s (one of a Russian lawmakers, sanctioned by Obama after Crimean events who has nothing to do with Crimea) amendment aka article 242.1 of a Russian Criminal Code.
Up to 10 years in prison for possession.
And there is an article 242.2 for filming a porno involving minor, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and no less than 8 years if a victim is under 14 yo.
There is a total crackdown of pedophiles in Russia.
To bring things into perscective a murder cost you average 8 to 11 years, DUI involving a homicide is usually 3 to 5 years under Russian legal system.
Raping a minor is no less than 15 years.
I wish I had your confidence.
Preach it, brother.
He will take some flak for that and I pray he does not back down or *soften* his stand to avoid *offending* anyone.
It’s about time we had a man who is man enough to say what needs to be said without capitulating.
I’m not saying that Russia is a Christian natiion by any means.
However, they are doing better than we (USA) is at the moment.
Immorality and corruption are everywhere and whatever is going on in the lower levels of the Russian government and military, Graham is right in what he says here.
He’s encouraging a moral stand. Even if it’s just a baby step, it’s a step in the right direction.
