Jews in one Ukrainian city were sent notes “indicating that they have to identify themselves as Jews,” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday.
“In the year 2014, after all of the miles traveled and all of the journey of history, this is not just intolerable, it’s grotesque,” Kerry said. “It is beyond unacceptable. And any of the people who engage in these kinds of activities — from whatever party or whatever ideology or whatever place they crawl out of — there is no place for that.”

I know Joel Rosenberg receives some mixed reviews on this board but his newest novel, The Auschwitz Escape, is excellent and some of the parallels are disconcerting.
I am confused. I think I saw a headline about how the US is mad at Israel for being chummy with Russia. So much propaganda. So little time.
I read earlier reports than this one and the people are not sure if this is official but rather some faction who distributed these. I don’t think it is official.

Okay, just read this one and it doesn’t give the text of the notice. The notice says they have to register themselves and everything they own and if they don’t do this, they will lose citizenship and have to leave the country. I don’t think it is an official document.
I guess it’s easier to target scapegoats for reprisal when they’re all registered in one convenient database.

Rumors are that every job application, school application, and outsourcing contract will require applicant to identify membership in a demographic group.
The strategy used by Russia is to de-stabilize the population and try to set up a scenario where a segment of the population is identified, and then murdered en masse (200 - 300 casualties) to allow Russia to sweep in on their ‘white horses’ to ‘control the situation’.
I can’t believe the gullibility of some members here.
Plus, Juden have to pay a $50/person registration “fee”, Obama is not sure yet if it is a tax, or a penalty. And list their property.

In the notice, Jewish residents were ordered to register with the pro-Russians or be deported. The notices were handed to Jews near the local synagogue, reports Novosti Donbassa, and targeted Jews for allegedly supporting Ukraine against the pro-Russians.
The notice orders all Jews over 16 years of age to register in front of the government building that has been occupied by pro-Russian forces. It further orders Jews to pay a registration fee of $50 before May 3 and list all real estate and vehicles owned.
“In case of failure to register, the perpetrators will be stripped of their citizenship and deported forcibly outside the country with confiscation of property,” read the notice.
