I don't believe this for a minute! This is just good cop, bad cop, get me reelected, then let's compromise on what we both know we want: Amnesty!

Cantor: I’ll be much more flexible after the election.

I believe it. President Obama has demonstrated his unwillingness to compromise on many, many issues. That said, Representative Cantor clearly wants immigration reform (amnesty), but he and the rest of the GOPe aren’t ready to cut their throats on the issue without some political cover from the Democrats. The GOPe has to at least appear concerned about border security for example.

If you don’t like the way Obama treats you, then show your displeasure with actions Cantor. You lemmings have allowed him to defy the Constitution over and over and all you can do is whine because he wasn’t nice to you. Obama was announcing to you that if you don’t do what he says, he is going to diss you again with more illegal executive orders and you will do nothing but whine and cave.

Obama threw him a bone to use in Cantor's fight against Tea Partiers. This is all inside baseball. Cantor still thinks he'll replace Boehner as Speaker, and will owe Obama a favor.
Am I being too cynical? Convince me otherwise.

The national clown will just grant amnesty using his phone and his pen. As absurd as that sounds does anyone doubt he wouldn't try? Nobody going to impeach this usurper.
IMHO I think Cantor is trying to get his conservative base (if he even has any) back in line - Cantor wants desperately to grant amnesty just like Bonehead - they believe they newly minted RAT voters will somehow reward the GOP by voting for them -HA HA.

Beware the lame duck congress. No good shall come of it.
Also, if the Pubbies take the Senate, they will collaborate with the RINOs in the house and ram amnesty through. Bet on it.
IMO, the odds are 50/50 that a (RINO) Republican Senate (coupled with a Boehner controlled House) will be as bad or worse for the country than the current situation.
The GOPe is just itching to sell us out.

RINO taqqiyah. Don't fall for it. Keep the heat on.
- secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;
- end the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment;
- enforce eVerify without exception and with severe penalties;
- no government benefits beyond critical emergency care (and that ought to be billed back to the home government); and
- NO "Path to Citizenship" - EVER - for anyone who has entered the US illegally.
Any bill that does not accomplish these five things is unacceptable. It is de facto amnesty. And it will inevitably encourage millions more illegal entries.
To: cotton1706
Cantor is just trying to show some backbone in case Boehner does not seek the speakership in the next legislative session.
Cantor is still an amnesty pusher.

Perhaps the “Republican Main Street Partnership” meeting last weekend forced realization that the GOP actually does need conservative voters to win an election.

Obama can now claim he tried working with Republicans and they are racist and unwilling to pass immigration reform...therefore, with my PEN, I will grant Amnesty to all. Watch out for the executive orders...
To: cotton1706
I also reiterated to the President there are other issues where we can find common ground, build trust and get America working again.At least Obama understands there is no common ground between his marxist designs and the GOPe's flaky brand of half a loaf leadership. Further, he doesn't WANT there to be.
Cantor's a fool.

2014 mantra in the repub party should be, Remove all RINOs. So next we may be exposed to Eric Cantor shirtless and on a horse. We can thank God Lindsey Graham won't ever do that, he would have to remove his bra.
To: cotton1706
I wouldn’t trust this twerp as far as I could throw him.
If the Big Business lobbyists are bringing bags of cash to his office, he’ll put up an amnesty bill or anything else they want.
Cantor engineered the “Doc Fix” a couple of weeks back by bringing it to the floor with a voice vote only so he could get it around conservatives.
