Politics aside, who was cooler: Steve McQueen or Paul Newman? Riddick would take those two momma’s boys one in each hand and crush their tiny necks

I wanted a 1968 Mustang SPECIFICALLY because of “Bullitt”...
Had a 1967 Fastback with the 390 engine (same as the Bullitt” car), then had a 68 GT Fastback with a worked 289 HiPo in it (not the original engine).
Also wanted a 1968 Charger but never got one...
Whenever I watch that flick.... I CRANK up the sound system the moment Bill Hickman snaps on his seat belt in the Charger and guns the engine...
Yeah... it’s STILL badass.
Hickman was a renowned stunt driver, who also did the car chase scene in “The Seven Ups” and other movies back in the day.

I loved his first movie with the huge man eating bats on that dark planet, too.

Oh, Vin Diesel...
Yeah, I guess... but He’s CGI cool...
McQueen was REAL badass cool. He did his own stunts, handled weapons expertly (he was a Marine), and was just all around good at what he did, in a time when CGI didn’t exist.
Another good flick with him AND Sinatra (also old-school cool) is Never So Few, set during WII in the CBI. Worth your time to watch...

This one I watched very recently (like last weekend) for the 60th time, his first movie (Riddicks) .
Best of: PITCH BLACK .
That character is cool, almost too cool.

“...That character is cool, almost too cool....”
But THERE is the difference... The CHARACTER was cool.
Steve McQueen himself WAS cool.

Rotfl.
Can you do something with that guy who is sucking the chair frame up to his face? Looks like it should become a hookah or something. Or maybe you could add big ears and make it a trunk?
