"said porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) is not a human health concern, but is deadly to newborn pigs."

We do too, except for the gooey parts where he's yanking out a ton of placenta -- at which point, we halfway expect this guy to make a cameo appearance:
Maybe it is because they have them confined to small areas to ride out the winter. Put them on pasture where they can get dirt and grass to provide beneficial bacteria may help.
Just a guess it is the confined farms that are having the problems.
Well, let's see. Last year the Chinese bought Smithfield in Virginia, which is one of the largest pork processors in the world. What a coincidence, eh? And this is apparently some Chinese virus. Gosh, I just can't figure this out. So complicated and mysterious for a poor simple woman like me.
Dude, you already done been “porked”. January 20, 2009.
I’d say you’re on to something!
Porcine products?
Perhaps Uigher inspired!
Segue to “Man, Fire, Food!”
John Dingle and Conyers are dead! OMG, death by diarrhea, what a $h!tty way to go.
Free Imodium for piglets!
Isn't this source of these statistics also the replacement for Sebelius , and soon to be in charge of ObamaCare ?
If so , Isn't this the same person who devised the statement :" If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor"
even though they knew this statement to be false ?
Isn't this the same person who had to appear before Congressional committee because she was "dumpster diving" the day of Web Hubble's death
looking for any information that connected him with Hillary ?
And then ,.. you wonder why we doubt the statistics about inflation and the cost of pork , bacon and food products ??
Statistics don't lie , .. but statisticians do !!
Received a note from our state veterinarian yesterday, the virus is wiping out Mississippi piglets as it is now here.
Yea, they’ve been harping on the food supply and every cycle it’s some natural disaster driving food prices up. Beef, then chicken, then pigs, corn, soybeans and on and on.
Didn’t anybody stop to think that prices are high because Gasoline prices have migrated upwards
Look at the chart. Funny, I must have slept through the spring of 2009 cause I don’t remember gas being $1.61 a gallon.
Yes it would, but in your dreams.
Pigs, especially breeding females, are crammed into tiny cages where they can't turn around or lie down, treated like THINGS They are miserable, and of course they're getting sick. I gave up my beloved yummy pork a year ago.
Meanwhile, I saw a cooking show from Ireland on PBS with the chef going out to his friend's gorgeous green farm and talking to very happy pigs who are trotting around out in the dirt and grass
THAT pork I"d happily eat. Cannot imagine the price per pound tho.
can u imagine the mess to clean up if the PORK in DC got affected by this???
The pork in DC is chock fulla sh*t. Whatta mess. Ain’t no cleaning up that stuff.
Michelle says pork is bad for you.
Eat Tofu with bean sprouts instead.
Sure, and get the deadly tofusprout diarrea?
No thanks.
Actually like fried tofu, Home Style is killer.
The virus has been endemic in Europe and much of Asia for years. It is new to the U.S.
A BB gun.......Other than that, nothing if your intent is to kill them............LOL!.....(sorry, couldn't resist)
The dumpster-diving was in Vince Foster’s dumpster.
The evidence of Hubbell’s connection to Hillary just got a job at some network, didn’t she?
Deadly diarrhea? You have to pass it to find out what is in it.
We need a Pig Protection and Affordable Bacon Act.
You might want to check out eatwild.com . Yes, prices are not cheap, but you can find pastured livestock. I’ve been buying pastured chicken, beef and pork (and eggs) from a farm that practices pasturing and follows organic practices. I couldn’t be happier.
