Pro-Russians Take Control of Ukrainian Troop Carriers

(Reuters) - Armored personal carriers driven into the eastern Ukrainian city of Slaviansk had been under the control of Ukrainian armed forces earlier on Wednesday, pictures taken by Reuters photographers showed.

A soldier guarding one of six troop carriers now under the control of pro-Russian separatists told Reuters he was a member of Ukraine's 25th paratrooper division from Dnipropetrovsk.

"All the soldiers and the officers are here. We are all boys who won't shoot our own people," said the soldier, whose uniform did not have any identifying markings on it.

"They haven't fed us for three days on our base. They're feeding us here. Who do you think we are going to fight for?," he said.

Yup, them people who get along with one another are the real reason people can't get along with one another and they're obvious threat to the "leadership". A "leadership" who couldn't wait on elections but now want others to wait on elections and who said the people they threw out were imposing their will by force but who now freak out because they can't impose their will by force. You do realize you're claiming the Keystone Cops are the rightful rulers of the Ukraine, don't you?

By your reasoning, Western Europe ought to be German territory, because their leadership was incompetent during the run-up to WWII.

People in northern Yugoslavia spoke and wrote their languages in the Western alphabet. In Serbia they speak and write it in Cyrillic alphabet.
