The KKK is liberal? What? Yes it's no surprise that the Ku Klux Klan is a leftist outfit. It's roots are in the Democrat party and, to this day, its membership is comprised of big-government statists. One need look no further back than liberal Robert C. Byrd as an example. Not much further back is Margaret Sanger, precursor to Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, both DemonRATS and both advocates of the mass murder of children.

One could argue that the GOP was the liberal party when it was formed. One could even say so today, in that the GOP, at least the grassroots, is really the party seeking change (less government), no matter hat Obama says.
