I think they’re barking up the wrong tree here. Given these egregious and heinous IRS acts against our freedom investigators ought to be able to come up with enough evidence without challenging Lerner’s 5A rights, which is technically a legally questionable challenge. GOP going down another rabbit trail IMO, instead of nailing it with solid evidence. If it’s as pervasive as it sounds, then, dang, go get it, present it, and prosecute accordingly.

Ironic….Lerner’s craven lust to please her master, Obama, got her into this mess. She hated the TEA Party and this hatred destroyed her career. Sometimes it’s turkey and sometimes it’s feathers…...
Time to stand and be counted dems. You want to go down with a sinking ship, then vote to protect Lerner. That vote will be used against them in the upcoming elections.

Agree. Also, until they get extortion out, nothing will happen. They may throw her to the the wolves; but she will land in a clover field somewhere, just like the others.
She gave up her 5th Amendment rights (by making a statement) in her initial session.
Basically, even if they find her in contempt, nothing will happen to her...after all, Holder was already found in contempt, and that hasn’t even slowed him down. He simply ignored it.
But this does help them to build a case for criminal prosecution. Of course, the problem is that charges would have to be preferred by the DOJ, and that’s certainly not going to happen.
A request for a special prosecutor also has to go through the DOJ.
So unless the press promotes this and gets people upset enough to demand a special prosecutor (as they did with Nixon), nothing is going to happen.
If Obama finds himself in a position where this is really going negative on him, he’ll tell Holder to appoint somebody. However, the likelihood of the press reporting this is slim to none.
