I had this guy pegged as a con man years ago. I had been approached by a company in the online advertising business back in the late 1990s, and we got far enough into our discussions to go through potential websites where I might advertise to specific target audiences. Newsmax was one of the big names on this list.
But then the guy from the advertising company sent another list of websites aimed at a "left-wing" demographic. It turns out some of them were also owned by Chris Ruddy.
Thanks, but no thanks. I wasn't born to be a customer, dude.
That was the last time I ever even read anything from Newsmax.

People mellow or change or get perspective as they age, says liberal journalist Joe Conason, often Ruddys foil during the Clinton battles, who now counts him as a friend. Or most people do. Hes not this right-wing kid that he was. Ol' Dead-Eyes Conason loves Christopher Ruddy now?
That'll knock ya back a step or two.

That’s odd. I stumbled upon Newsmax TV recently and have watched a few times. They plan to be a 24 hour streaming news channel, but at present they have two, three hour shows they run and rerun all day.
One is hosted by Steve Malzburg and the other by J. D. Hayworth and another guy. Haven’t heard any pro-Clinton, backsliding talk on either of those shows. Pretty conservative. Could become a worthwhile, online news source.

I set up a free blogger page to read all my conservative rss feeds. And newsmax is by far the most squishy. This explains a lot.
