I don’t know what the answer to this problem is. I do know that if all “illegals” were deported tomorrow, we would be in a huge mess for a long time.
Many of them truly do do the work that many Americans won’t do ..and certainly not for the amount of money they earn
The next generation is going to claim that they have been discriminated against and demand affirmative action and the jobs of your sons and daughters who will be picking fruit in California. Since the traditional middle class will no longer be apart of the political process they will pay for it. This whole argument of being let in to do the jobs others wont do is just setting this whole scheme up. Why cant they get jobs filled? Because they aren't paying enough. Bring in more third world immigrants and they will definitely not have to.
Frankly, I just don’t believe what you think. Regardless, if I had to pay more for a head of lettuce, tomatoes, etc. or hire an American citizen to do yard work, I’d gladly pay it if it meant these invaders were removed from my country. Gladly.
Natural Democrats. Obama's 'economic fairness' message is for them (as well as others)
The Dhimmitude. It burns.
So how about going back to the guest worker program. ONLY the worker comes here, works, gets paid and sends his. her money back
It is NOT the people worker it is the entire package of benefits we are force to give that negates any benefit
First of all, no deportation is required. Stop giving them jobs and free stuff and they will deport themselves.
Second of all, once they become US citizens they will form communist unions and get paid more anyway.
Third of all, when people start going hungry they'll work. No need to import third-worlders.
Why are you spouting these leftist lies. Are There Really Jobs Americans Wont Do? A detailed look at immigrant and native employment across occupations
Of the 472 civilian occupations, only six are majority immigrant (legal and illegal). These six occupations account for 1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. Moreover, native-born Americans still comprise 46 percent of workers even in these occupations.
...and certainly not for the amount of money they earn
That is the bottom line issue. We have 21 million Americans unemployed or underemployed. Americans will work at any job.
