SNIP-- Support it or not, you cannot look at ObamaCare and call it anything but a huge, historic mess....utterly unique in the annals of American lawmaking and govt administration.....then-Democratic speaker Pelosi blithely, mindlessly said---but in a way forthcominglythat we have to pass it to find out what's in it. .... an historic admission that she was fighting hard for something she herself didn't understand, but she had every confidence regulators and bureaucratic interpreters would tell her in time what she'd done.
....for the next three years Democrats would carry on like blithering idiots making believe they'd read the bill and understood its implications. They were later taken aback by complaints from their constituents.
The White House seems to have understood, and lied to Americans in a way so specific, it showed they knew exactly what to spin and how. "If you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan, period." Your existing policy had to pass muster.....they'd fight to the death to ensure that 60-year-old women have pediatric dental coverage.
....the president's approach on Tuesday, when he announced the purported 7.1 million enrollees. "The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. . . . was political showbiz of a particular sort, asking whether the picture given of a thing will counter the experience of the thing.

An alert Obama official looks for enrollees who've paid for insurance, who are actually insured, for millenials duped into
paying for other people's h/care and for the "underserved"....
who had no insurance before ACA took effect (sob).
Great description by Peggy.
That’s right. Obama is a catastrophe like no other, unless, of course, Sarah Palin became vice president. That would have been unthinkable for Peggy and much, much, worse than this catastrophe like no other.
This is clearly Noonans best article of her career. I think that now she has really come awake. The writing is also great (like the squid image mentioned above).
If you havent done so, please read the whole article. I am planning to smuggle copies into my doctors office, to leave in the waiting room.
Eons from now her bones will be found and once more discarded, because then as now...she will be of no importance.
FUPN, where were you when it mattered?
Are Noonan and her Obama having a bedroom argument, here?
The following stunning Noonan insight made me forget all the things I didn't like about her.
"Pelosi's urgings inspired Democrats, who for the next three years would carry on like blithering idiots making believe they'd read the bill and understood its implications. They were later taken aback by complaints from their constituents. "
The White House, on the other hand, seems to have understood what the bill would do, and lied in a way so specific it showed they knew exactly what to spin and how.
"Keep your plan" of course was the president, misrepresenting the facts of his signature legislative effort. Your existing policy had to pass muster with the administration, which would fight to the death to ensure that 60-year-old women have pediatric dental coverage.
That post brings back memories of when I worked on copiers and printing equipment decades ago. My employer came up with new systems to “automate” the process for short run offset printing on their equipment. It was supposed to greatly reduce the skills needed to operate the equipment. In the end it only meant that the operators needed even more skills to try to keep the new systems from going awry. They even changed the name of one new feature, repacing the word “automatic” with the word “electronic” because they finally had to admit it was not really automatic and in fact required a SKILLED operator to perform daiy cleaning and adjustment to keep it working. Even with the best operator downtime was much higher than with the old system and productivity was really no higher, probably lower in fact. Interestingly this was a company which had for a long, long time been an industry leader but in the end they seemed to be flailing about and going for progress for the sake of progress whether there was anything real about the so called progress or not. They spent a huge amount on one new product introduction which belonged in an old Rube Goldberg newspaper cartoon. Those who had to install it and try to maintain it took one look and groaned. There was literally no way to make the monster work through a single eight hour shift without trouble and no one could figure out why the management ever imagined it could be made to work. That machine was the mechanical equivalent of Obamacare.
Even though it's hard to see sometimes, God is in control and knows when and how far he will allow this unholy spiritual attack on this country, that was founded in His name, to continue.
The left, those in control, would love to see this country become a third world country that they can control. They can't because of the many patriots who refuse to give up their bibles, guns and freedoms. The tools they use to control us, we pay for through our taxes....our lifetime of hard work. IRS, EPA, FCC, .....
Many of the 456 federal agencies reported to exist by the federal government consist of hierarchies of agencies within themselves. Bureaucracies within bureaucracies.
For example, the National Institutes of Health.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Heres just one example of a federal agency from the below list of major federal agencies. This one consists of 47 separate bureaucracies!
If there are this many bureaucracies within just one of the 456 major federal bureaucracies, how many thousands of federal bureaucracies exist?
How can voters possibly hold politicians to account for the performance of these bureaucracies when most people dont know they exist much less what they do, how much they spend, and what good and bad results they produce?
The politicians dont know what these agencies do either. Most of the time, they dont even read the bills they vote into law.

Noonan has a very long way to go before she has any credibility with me.
There are few people less relevant than Peggy Noonan. Peggy, you jumped the shark long ago. Just ride off into the sunset.
I liked the article, thanks for posting. I don’t always agree with Noonan, but I read her views.
I thought that was a good insight too. Noonan is a true puzzle: how can she be so dense yet so exquisitely perceptive at the same time? How could she not see in 2008 that Obama was a deceptive leftist ideologue? 99.9 percent of freepers saw this, easily. Sometimes our vanguard isn’t so sharp, unfortunately.
How ?....Noonan writes for $$$$
Thanks for making me laugh today. That was a funny post.
