George Soros’ real crusade: Legalizing marijuana in the U.S
Washington Times ^ | April 2, 2014 | Kelly Riddell

Billionaire philanthropist George Soros hopes the U.S. goes to pot, and he is using his money to drive it there. With a cadre of like-minded, wealthy donors, Mr. Soros is dominating the pro-legalization side of the marijuana debate by funding grass-roots initiatives that begin in New York City and end up affecting local politics elsewhere.

“The pro-legalization movement hasn’t come from a groundswell of the people. A great deal of its funding and fraud has been perpetrated by George Soros and then promoted by celebrities,” said John Walters, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy under George W. Bush. “The truth is under attack, and it’s an absolutely dangerous direction for this country to be going in.”

Old pothead Georgie spent a lot of it right here in Arizona pushing “medical” marijuana through. It didn’t pass until they started busing in potheads from all over the southwest so they could cast “provisional” (Fraudulent) ballots.

And an important part of the Marxist utopia is “happiness”...... “Happy” slaves for the state, so they won’t understand how pathetic and miserable slavery is.

Like the soma-——drugs are used to determine the state of happiness.

Here's my theory and I'm sticking to it:

It is a short-term strategy. Millions of sit-it-out liberals will crawl to the polls to vote for legalizing their pot. Make that an issue or put it on the ballot, and you can win elections.

I think this worked last time in the key state of Colorado.

There's also a long-term strategy involving brain-dead voters.

A stoned populace is a Passive Populace!

The twisted old man understands that all too well. This is how he's spending his final years on earth. Financing the destruction of minds. What a legacy Mr. Soros./S

Look at the regions of the world that chose Cannabis over alcohol for thousands of years, and look at Western Civilization, that refused to adopt Cannabis as an intoxicant, for thousands of years.

Soros knows what he is doing, he saw Cannabis break out into Western Civilization, in the 1960s.

To what purpose?

The prevailing wisdom, if you will, is that it will turn the nation further left. I'm not so sure about that.

Bread and Circuses -

Entertainment can take many forms - anything that can misdirect and numb the populace is just fine. Marx used to say religion was the opiate of the masses but I disagree. Good faith makes people more active and involved, and less likely to put up with injustice and wrongs.

But there was a reason he used the word OPIATE.

Yep they don ‘t have the same fire in their belly to fight back against the system when they’re high on the stuff all the time. Probably Soro’s intent.

> You bet - and unfortunately I’ve seen it firsthand with some others that I want nothing to do with. It’s absolutely sickening!

Growing up I was around kids that started doing it when they were 11 and 12. Heck none that I know of ever did much with their lives and most got hooked on harder stuff. I remember running into one after high school and I don’t think he ever opened his eyes more than halfway the whole time I ever saw him after that (not many times) and he sold drugs with the help of a girlfriend at local bars. A lot of others now have serious criminal records; I looked them up. Don’t tell me pot isn’t harmful and doesn’t do damage. Alcohol is just as bad or worse if consumed heavily too. I’m talking about guys that doit every day ^. Of course they didn’t start that way.

Serious criminal records, because they sell drugs? Sounds like a circular argument: Drugs screw up your life, because they're illegal and you'll get busted and then have a criminal record, which will haunt you forever, and therefore, drugs should be illegal to deter people from falling into this exact trap. But wait - if the harm comes only from the illegality, then that isn't a harm that is prevented by prohibition, it's caused by prohibition.

I do not think pot leads to using stronger drugs, however it certainly takes
ones ambitions and goals away! This would be typical of Soros to want
American citizens to become lazy non thinking couch potatoes! I despise
this man WHY IS HE NOT DEAD YET!!!

Oh that was just the beginning if it. A lot of them had burglary (stealing other people’s stuff so they could pawn it and get money for dope), theft by check (kiting bad checks at grocery stores to buy dope), family violence (as a result if being high and getting into an argument with their wives and beating the crap out of them), possesion and possesion with intent to sell, criminal mischief (damaging other people’s property during altercations), DUIs and DWI’s (which caused damage to other people’s vehicles), among others if I were to look them back up again.

There’s a lot of fallout from drug use. The user usn’t the only victim. The only people that I’ve ever known that justified drug use were either casual drug users, addicts, or drug dealers.
