A New York woman died last month after making the ultimate sacrifice for her unborn baby girl delaying cancer treatment and forging on with her pregnancy.
Elizabeth Joice was first diagnosed with a malignant tumor in 2010, though she was declared cancer-free after undergoing surgery and four rounds of chemotherapy.
After clearing that barrier, she and her husband, Max, wanted to start a family, but doctors told her it would be virtually impossible to conceive.
But Joice was a fighter.
Defying the odds yet again, she and her husband announced that they were pregnant in the summer of 2013, offering up unexpected joy to their friends and family.
And thats when Joice found out just one month later that her cancer had returned.
She and Max were faced with a horrific choice: Abort the child and begin treatment immediately, start treatment and continue the pregnancy or delay much-needed medical care in an effort to protect the unborn baby girl.
Joice ultimately decided to delay treatment.
Having a kid was one of the most important things in the world to her, Max told the New York Post. She said, If we terminate the pregnancy and it turns out I cant have a baby [later], Ill be devastated. She knew this might be her only chance.

Yet, the father is vilified for having the audacity to have a child after the age of 50...That REALLY old Abram dude would certainly get a thrashing from today's tolerant folks!

Why cant we announce a war on cancer and forget wasting all this money and effort and take on this disease once and for all?!I don't want to appear too cold hearted; but another disease would step to the plate.

Compare and contrast that self sacrifice with the profound selfishness that causes a mother to murder her baby in the womb. I've heard that actually happens...
I'd like to thank the United States Government for protecting me and my kind.
You see, 40 years ago, my odds of making it out of the egg, alive, were very poor; about 80% of us died.
But a lady discovered our plight and wrote a book that addressed our problem,
What I find strange is that the same government passed a law the very next year that allowed for killing
of unborn, and apparently unwanted, humans. Little ones still nestled safely in their Mother's womb.
Around 25% of them are dying before birth - on average nearly 3,300 - every day of the year.
I hear that by now, somewhere around 55 MILLION of them have perished.
Wouldn't that kind of mess up the humans plans for growth, and welfare, and
retirement?
Strange birds; these Homo Sapiens. Perhaps they'll come to their senses
before they are ALL dead!

Im saying prayers for your grandson.
INDEED!
I was WAY too callus in my remarks above.
I was in no way wanting to belittle the fear and pain your family is going thru; just to make a blanket statement.
I apologize...
