FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) An Iraq War veteran being treated for mental illness was the gunman who opened fire at Fort Hood, killing three people and wounding 16 others before committing suicide, in an attack on the same Texas military base where more than a dozen people were slain in 2009, authorities said.
Within hours of the Wednesday attack, investigators started looking into whether the mans combat experience had caused lingering psychological trauma. Fort Hoods senior officer, Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, said the gunman had sought help for depression, anxiety and other problems.

"Hadjer' coffee yet, Fred? ... OK .. back in a sec ... just gather up our stuff n' we'll take off when I get back .... cream n' sugar, right ?"
All this is just plannd by Odumbo. Take away the rights for guns and deal with the mentally ill. America will become much smaller.
So the guy has ptsd, just another psychological babble story. Right, he was nuts too.

Unrest in another part of the world:
Syria/Ukraine.
Disaster of 0-care:
September-October Launch/Dismal sign up numbers, no data on who actually paid. Disaster.
Attack on a military installation:
Aaron Alexis/Ivan Lopez.
Somehow this all seems familiar. Makes me wonder what was happening during the first Fort Hood incident.
key word: sought?
This would never happen if military members were permitted to carry concealed weapons on base. But not in this feminized military. The states surrounding bases permit that, but not the bases themselves, supposedly places of martial professionalism. Feminist paradigms are a biotch.
Key word: treated, key word: suicide, Key word: homicidal.Key word: side effects. We live in a country incapable of connecting the dots.
Sought mental health at the VA ?
....Or rather deal with what is really troubling America, the reality of EVIL.
PTSD or SJS. He didn't just snap. This was premeditated since he bought the gun a not long before the terrorist attack.
I can't decide which one I'd rather be killed by. /sarc
Obamacare!
"Sought"? They are trying to cram it down your throat!
You cannot call or visit the VA these days without someone asking you if are going whacko. IIRC, they ask you that before they tell you that "if you are having a medical emergency, call 911".
It has been that way for several years.
He served 4 months in Iraq in 2011 during the pullout. He was a truck driver who saw no combat. That’s what I heard on the news this morning - of course, it may be updated and my information may turn out to be wrong.
Having been associated with the mental health medical community for about seven years, let me tell you, I learned that mental health care is not for amateurs and is very tricky business. And I thought I read that this fellow was on medication for depression and anxiety. People on these meds need frequent clinic visits and need to be very closely watched.
The problem is that depressed patients often clearly must be treated, but the treatments themselves can sometimes paradoxically make things worse. The most commonly used class of antidepressants, SSRIs, can basically dull the emotional and moral spectrum of patients. That is, the patient may be inured to symptoms of hopelessness and despair, but the meds may also may cause the patient just to not care about anything or anyone else. In other words, the meds can result in them ending up on the tipping point of sociopathic behavior. It will be interesting to see the reports of what this man’s demeanor was when he did this.
That’s sort of true in every profession, isn’t it? The biggest complainers are generally the laziest.
