Its your move, Woody Johnson. The Eagles released star wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Friday, making him a free agent the Jets and their owner may want to grab. Jackson was released shortly after a report revealed the Eagles had concerns about his ties to gang activity in Los Angeles, complicating any decision on the receiver. --SNIP-- But the situation got a lot murkier Friday with the NJ.com report that Jackson was contacted by the LAPD about a 2010 gang-related murder. The police said Jackson was never a suspect, but his ties to Theron Shakir, a purported member of the Crips gang, led the police to speak to Jackson. Shakir was later acquitted of the murder. The report also said another gang-related murder took place in 2012 at a building owned or leased by a member of Jacksons family and documents belonging to him were found at the scene.

Sounds like Raider material.
Remember....Saying the N word....bad
Having Gang ties.....good.
National Felon league strikes again.
if they pursue him its because they already signed Vick and Ryan thinks he can control ay situation with his big mouth.
Vick as QB, now this guy @ Jets.
What he meant, but was too gutless to say, was the black thug culture.
The American gun culture consists of supporting the 2nd Amend., collecting, hunting and shooting for defensive training, sport and enjoyment.
Felonious football players aside, I say that Woody Johnson is one of the coolest names for a football team owner ever.
Heh heh...
I agree. At this point, the Raiders need some kind of spark, even if it is somewhat icky.
Hide your pets, Vick’s on the Jets ! ! !
So, they cut a player based on some unproven allegations about gangs, but they keep a drunk racist that spews the n-word on camera? There was more proof against Richard Jewell.
Or a porn actor.
Sorry, but what's so "cool" about the name "Woody" and what is the connection between "Woody" and football (other than the late curmudgeon who coached Ohio State)?
"Woody" Johnson is actually Robert Woods Johnson, heir of one of the founders of Johnson & Johnson.
I think your facts are confused. The racist player, Riley Cooper, is still on the Eagles, while Jackson was cut over some vague rumors. So I guess as far as Lurie is concerned N-word is good, having gang ties is bad. I'm sure Lurie has never known someone or be related to someone who did something wrong.
“No More Tears,” could never be the slogan of the Jets.
Cooper is still on the team, Jackson is off. Looks like you’ve got it all backwards.
Not entirely unproven. He instagrams and tweets pictures of himself throwing gang signs and hanging out with known gang members on a fairly regular basis. There’s no proof he’s active, or has committed crimes, but there’s lots of proof that he’s embroiled in the culture. And after the Hernandez thing nobody with half a brain will sign him, so he’ll be a Jet or Raider.
