It *ALWAYS* comes down to getting out the vote.

Weak RINO or second coming of Ronaldus Magnus, it doesn’t matter if more Democrats than Republicans show up at the polls. Barak Obama excited the hell out of his base in 2008 and he ran a better campaign in 2012, although not by as much.

Demonizing the other side as evil or traitors might make one feel good but doesn’t help the analysis of what went wrong and how to fix it; outside of social media it’s the same dynamic, lies, hypocrisy, vitriol, disagreement over what the Constitution says and means as we’ve always had, hyperventilation aboutd TEOTWAWKI on left or right does not change the rules of the game or how it’s played.

Left and right, for well over 100 years, it’s been the same debate: ideological purity vs political reality. No matter who is nominated in 2016 the functional dynamics and the need for a solid working party organization to get out the vote is what is going to determine who wins.

My analysis- worth everything I’m getting paid for it :-) - has always been that the GOPe controls the party structure and thus determines the outcome; they are slick enough to let ideological purists strut, preen, preach and holler aplenty during the primaries knowing they hold the keys to the machinery come the endgame.

It simply doesn’t matter at all.

They are all of the ruling class, and they are all the enemy of freedom.

Our problems as a country are not going to be solved at the ballot box. It’s far too late for that.

For the Geriatric Old Plotters:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” - Cicero

I was born and raised a democrat. That was the old democrats. They've all gone now. About 30 years ago I promised myself that I'd never vote for another democrat as long as I lived. I've kept that promise.

Seems as though every 10-12 years democrats go crazy and try to grab every gun in the country. It takes considerable time and effort to slap them down and it's really getting old.

Now democrats are trying to decide where/how I get my health insurance, how much pop I can drink, what my family eats for lunch, what kind of exercise I need, what temperature I need to set my furnace/ac to, how I have to drain the rain water from my land and on and on.

IMO, the democrats party-and every one of its members-in America should be treated exactly as the Germans treated their Nazi party after that mess.

Get rid of RINOs like Rove et al and prevent the outing of patriots like Lee, Cruze, Gowdy, Palin and others, and I will begin to think there actually is a Republican party. So far, al I see is more blivovating about John McCain Clones running for the presidency.....( Puke).

LET OUR PEOPLE GO!LET THEM RUN!

Whose Side are you On? If you don’t care whether Republicans win, care that Democrats lose.

The more important question is: which side is the beltway GOP on? Midnight John Boehner just rammed through the doc fix on a voice vote. That’s Dem style flim flam courtesy of the GOPe.

The current GOP leadership has shown little interest in being an engaged opposition party. And ZERO interest in advancing a conservative agenda. Given that, expect more “bipartisan” sellouts of Main Street by the beltway GOP pigs at the trough. They need to earn our support. It is no longer good enough just to be not a Dem.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have felt the wrath of the Right for spending too much time playing defense

No, Boehner and McConnell have quite understandably incurred our wrath for playing footsie with Harry Reid and doing so surreptitiously.

Republicans now have the opportunity to effectively bring the Obama administration’s legislative program to an early end this November by eliminating the Democrats’ majority in the Senate,

No, to the degree that that can be accomplished under the feckless leadership of Boehner and McConnell it was accomplished by the election of 2010. No one can convince me that if we give McConnell a majority in the Senate he will in fact rollback any legislative initiatives which already been passed, especially including Obamacare!

The differences among us are minor compared with the differences between us and them, which are fundamental.

No, the history of the Bush years when Republicans enjoyed a majority in both houses and the pathetic history of the Obama years convinces many of us that the difference between the Republicans and us conservatives is far greater than the differences between the Republicans and the Democrats.

Unless you are ready to give up entirely on the notion of advancing conservative principles through the ballot box,

No I am not ready to give up the notion of advancing conservatism through the ballot box but that determination is a reflection of hope over experience.

Even if you do not think that it matters much whether Republicans win, it matters a great deal that Democrats lose.

I do not think it matters greatly whether Republicans win or Democrats lose except in the speed at which the Republic will be driven over the cliff. Therefore, I do not place my faith at the ballot box, although prepared to soldier on and do my duty at the ballot box, rather I place my faith in an Article V movement which has a chance of success because it can effectively occur outside Washington.

Why do I get the feeling that this article is being written to paper over the real and substantial differences between the Rinos and conservatives so that the game can go on for yet one more election cycle?

Heard it all before.

It seems to be the only message the GOP-E has for conservatives. It’s disconcerting hearing their claim to your vote being “the democrats are worse.”

That’s it? That’s all you’ve got?

That’s what makes it so easy to listen to Cruz and Palin. The others are just empty suits.

If the R’s don’t go conservative, I want them to lose and the Dem’s to win. This will so weaken them that, on a relative basis, some party like the TEA party movement will be empowered.

And things under the Dems will get so incredibly bad that we will be ready for anything. Of course this includes another Stalin or Hitler...

I sometimes wonder if Roberts saved Obamacare to give the people what they wanted and righteously deserved, knowing they would choke on it.

I don’t vote for Liberals. It’s pretty simple. If there is a political party out there that wants my vote, they can get my vote. It’s not that hard.

What’s the difference between Senator McInsane and Senator Dingy Harry? Nothing, so why follow either party that places these guys in the lead?

No.

"Whose side are you on?"

That's the same question I ask of GOPe collaborators like McConnell, McCain and Boehner every day. Their harshest words are unleashed upon "fellow" Conservatives, and their actions indicate that their side is not ours.

No. We will not play the Ostrich again. Either the Republicans are ProLife, Anti-Gay, Pro-Borders, Anti-Spending or not.

When the GOP had the White House, the Senate and the House for 6 years, they couldn’t even build a dam fence. They couldn’t beat a bunch of ragheaded terrorist that had no navy no airforce no tanks in Afghanistan while using the most powerful Military in History.

Nope the GOP, if not controlled by the Tea Party is a ship that has no course, no objective, and just continues to bounce around the political sea, bragging about its ability to stay afloat. The only place it takes you is to the cleaners.

I do think Texas is a great microcosm of the problem.

Our senators are Cornyn and Cruz.

There is no doubt in my mind who is the stronger senator in that pair. However, I would never prefer Cecil Richards or Wendy Davis in order to spite a Republican candidate.

People need to elect as conservative person as possible at all times. Surveys of the public show it is more conservative than at any time in the past 50 years.

But refusing to show up because the Republican candidate is a mild alternative to anti-conservative hatred offered by the democratic party is difficult to understand.

I also believe the idea that Republican control of government has made no difference in the past is one of the most farcical treasures of the current conservative movement.

Republican leadership has been empirically better on poverty, debt reduction, and unemployment without question! Conservatives ought to admit this.

Stop playing the bipartisan game taught to you by an intellectual elite that seek to divide and conquer you.
