Felt big
Very punny. :) (Great movie)
Preliminary reports are saying this might have taken place on the Puente Hills fault which caused the Whittier narrows quake in 87
Ha! I leave that to the mrs...
Okay but you are missing out on a quick $100!
“Preliminary reports are saying this might have taken place on the Puente Hills fault which caused the Whittier narrows quake in 87”
I can believe that. The Whittier fault runs near my house and even though I must be 5-6 miles from the epicenter this quake really shook my house hard. Which the Whittier Narrows quake also did.
I was so young then I don’t remember that quake..I remember the one we had in big bear I forgot what year that was..seems that there are some gas leaks and power outages in la habra and Fullerton so stay safe
Didn’t feel any of them. I was in the grocery store in manhattan beach. Then I was driving. My teen son texted me from Huntington Beach “Huge quake!”
Now what are you doing on the 16th floor in Las Vegas? Nobody sits in their room in Vegas. Get back down to the casino floor.
Maybe he got lucky.
Every state has it’s issues..some have tornadoes..some have hurricanes..we have quakes..hopefully no more for tonight I hate night quakes..with northridge we had no power for two days but then when the power came back on we had all the pay channels lol..
Wow never heard of it til now - thanks =)
Just felt a strong quick one, 30 seconds ago...
Felt like the the house just bounced...
14th floor,,,boulder station in vegas...nothing felt
I saw your post within minutes after last night, went to the USGS earthquake site and literally said, “Hmmmm”, awaking to the obvious this morning.
Your ‘little’ quake literally was the foreshock. Interesting.
Sleepless night for geologists & LA residents glued to the tv/pc...looks like it’s over, though.
We felt the quake in North Los Angeles County. It was quite noticeable.
But abigkahuna noticed something though...
Yep, I think we were some of the first to realize that...Knowing that when it occurred, was not a real good feeling...
looks like its over, though.
Just had another after shock about 40 minutes ago.
Brea just had a 4.5 aftershock..didn’t feel it but those in Whittier and Rowland Heights did
Felt it...strong and quick...Vertical movement...stronger than this a.m. horizontal events...
Yep, north and east of Brea....Epicenter must be up in the hills above it...
