I know His Holiness is multi lingual, like most Popes of today, but is English, in particular Amercian English something he is fluent in? It’s not just about us anymore. Since Obama has chosen th lead from (way) behind, other countries are beginning to step into center stage of influence. The Pope may be studying his Mandarin, Farsi or Russian as well, for all I know.
It takes a certain kind of man to do this. The schedule of The Pontiff must be jam packed five or six days a week. We’re speaking of a man who is already in his seventies. His stamina and grace under pressure is impressive. We are fortunate. Oh, and it goes w/o saying that President Pinnochio has woven yet another lie in front of our faces.

I think the Pope spoke in Spanish to Obama.
