The U.S Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights has forced a school in Michigan to tear down a brand-new set of bleachers for its boys’ varsity baseball team because the new seating is nicer than the girls’ softball bleachers.
The raised seating deck for the boys’ baseball team, which was paid for with money raised by parents, was put in place because fans who’d come to watch games at Plymouth High School in Canton, Mich., were having a hard time seeing the game through the chain-link fence WJBK-TV reported.
The parents installed the new bleachers themselves and even added a new scoreboard to the field, the station reported.
But after an investigation by government officials, which was prompted by an anonymous complaint, the school was told it had to remove the new seating because it was “no longer equal” to the adjacent girls’ softball bleachers, which have yet to get a makeover of their own.
Further, government officials said, the new boys’ bleachers were not sufficiently handicap-accessible.
The school agreed to tear down the new bleachers after government officials issued a citation.

Of course I have but you were referring to drive up ATMs and I don’t use them. At a drive up ATM it’s quite funny.

Me, too. Apparently it was an "anonymous complaint." Whoever did it is not only a sniveling busybody, but a coward, as well.
The proper response for this and many other Federal orders is to say NO!

These are the kinds of things one of my teachers would tell a student when they did really poorly, seems appropriate for these morons.
In the age where a leftist like Obama can be elected president, these kind of actions will be the normal in the not-too-distant future. That’s the way leftists think.

How long before the same idiots demand equal attendance figures for boys and girls sports? Major college men’s football and basketball teams almost always heavily outdraw women’s athletic teams. How long before these psychos under the “disparate outcome” argument shut down men’s teams because they outdraw the women? Making the females feel bad of course.

So said the farmers minding their own business when the barbarians came to pillage and conquer. If the right won't put down their plowshares and pick up swords, conservatives deserve their fate.
You see “equal ‘opportunity’ “ is NOT about equal “opportunity”. It is instead about equal “result” and if boys and girls do not chose to participate in “school, team sports” equally, and parents do not voluntarily contribute to such involvement “equally”, then that constitutes “disparate impact” (result) and while it may confirm and conform with people’s choices it does not conform to government mandated and artificially “equal” participation.
That was my first thought. Relabel the girls field the boys field, and the boys the girls field, and on game day, let the boys borrow the girls field. Problem solved.
