“The scrap metal plan. We’ll even pay you in two dollar bills!”
(Houstonians will understand this.)

So Democrats are now implementing the same low quality plans they bashed for fear of losing House / Senate seats. I’m sure this naked political ploy will be decried as a naked political ploy on ABCNBCCBSCNNMSNBC etc...right? Right?

Let's add
Star Trek and
Doctor Who to the mix.
The Doctor Who one is the UK cabinet but it's the perfect followup to your comment.

We are lucky enough to still have coverage, good coverage, under my wife’s employer’s plan.
So far this year I’ve had heart surgery, which was a necessity.
I’ve now met my deductible and have scheduled hand surgery for next month. While not crucial, it will give me back more use of my right hand.
I’ve also talked to the surgeon about another hand surgery for later in the year on the same hand, different location.
I explained I have no idea what my coverage will be like NEXT year, so I’d like to get as much done THIS year while I know what my costs will be.
He said he’s heard several patients tell the same story - pushing up surgeries into this year while they have coverage.
And, the doctors, hospitals and surgery centers are all quite happy to hear what plan I have. I wonder how low some of the reimbursements are they are facing from some lesser plans.

A “copper” plan. Let me guess, one doctor per county, 15K delectable for a low, low, price of $295.99/month.

I’ll wait for the “Stainless Steel” plan. $150/month, “urgent care center” per state and one hospital per region. Unlimited access to the local morgue, though.

“This is merely an effort to help their reelection, they don’t give a rats a$$ about the people.”
What a cynical thing for these people to do. They never cease to insult us and our intelligence.

They told us how great it was for years. Now implement the damn thing in full. and in accordance with the schedule specified in the LAW passed by you clowns and signed into law by your head CLOWN.
And the GOP needs to call pressers and remind the stooopid Americans that their party did not cast ONE single vote for this monstrous takeover of 1/6 of the globes most powerful economy. All you RAT voters need to feel the pain that wished on all of us just so you could insure 45 million that did not have insurance for one reason or another - 15 million because they broke into this country illegally.

Why write any statute in Congress today? Just give a bill a name and cast a vote on a blank sheet of paper, and allow the Executive branch full implementation authority for whatever they want - as long as it falls within the title of the bill. /s

Pretty sure there are funds in it to cover Insurance Companies losses due to Obamacare. They are good no matter what.

The fool’s gold plan.
That’s brilliant.

Your a’la carte idea would work fine in practice but would result in the government having far less money and control over your life. Therefore, it’s a non-starter.
