At the California Republican Partys convention earlier this month, chairman Jim Brulte announced 2014 would be the year of pushing the party outside of its comfort zone, and introduced four candidates vying to take on incumbent Gov. Jerry Brown in November.

OTOH, if he gets the nomination, he’d pull a LOT of votes from the scum of the Earth and their friends the dregs of humanity, who ordinarily vote straight-ticket Democrat...
This would be a resume enhancer if he were running under the RAT ticket.
Hell no, the record was expunged that night.
I know about it because a good friend of mine was the desk sargent that booked him.
He came by my speed shop in Pasadena after he got off work and told us about it.
He wouldn’t publicly push the issue because his father had refused to back off on a case years before and he got a politician put in prison and it ended his career as a Sheriff.
They sent him to LACC to teach criminalogy until he got retirement and never got promoted beyond sargent.
My friend is now retired and retired as Captain with a good pension.
“Why on EARTH would ANYONE with a brain support this pig?”
Well.... this IS California....
It’s unfortunate that there’s no paper trail to that crime.
Time for Gloria Allred to come crawling out of the closet, like she did for
Meg Whitmen!!
The GOP ain’t known as the stupid party for nothing . God please help this nation & please hurry.
Don't worry. Karl Rove can work wonders ... even for this guy.
I can see it now, Karl Rove ads telling CAca's voters that
"Brulte says Champ's victim(s) looked 18 and were provocatively dressed, and the guy he killed was no prize, either. To top it off, while in stir, Brulte says Champ did a lot of reading."
I believe it. He just looks like a sicko.
This ironically named loser is not a serious candidate.
The serious candidates are conservative State Assemblyman Tim Donnelly and RINO former Assistant Treasury Secretary in charge of TARP, Neel Kashkari.
Kashkari has WAY more money so far.

Tim Donnelly is the Tea Party candidate for California gov. Seems fine to me.
Go Tim, Go!
Kashkari is such an Uber-RINO he makes the Rahm Emanuel pal that the IL GOP just nominated for Governor look conservative in comparison. He's like a super RINO created by combining bits and pieces of lesser RINOs.
A guy who diddles teenage girls and whacks a business competitor is no conservative.
The rich bitches will always give to their crony political friends.
Seems pretty clear to me that conservatives need to rally behind Tim Donnelly if we have any chance of nominating someone decent.
Aguirre is going nowhere, “Champ” is a guaranteed loser and joke, and Kashkari is so liberal he makes Ahnuld blush. There’s also two additional Republican candidates the California GOP didn’t even mention: Laguna Hills Mayor Andrew Blount and Alma Marie Winston, former CEO of Civil Rights Legal Defense Fund.
It’s an ill wind that blows no good.
I wish conservative folks who want ruthless politicians would make up their mind. This looks like one. Shoot why can’t his slogan be “Stop prostituting California and take out the garbage”?
OK, this Champ will probably turn out to be a chump who goes nowhere in the race. Still it’s kind of funny how life imitates farce.
He’d probably live cleaner than Schwarzeneggar. He got all those youthful indiscretions out of his system already!
Wait, I thought RINOs weren’t tough.
You’re confusing RINOs with spineless conservatives who cave to Dems.
RINOs are tough — they’re just fighting for the other team instead of the one they claim to be a member of. Kashkari will work hard to implement the left’s agenda.
