My guess: the Chinese don’t care at all if Americans had laws discriminating against black people. My daughter was a student in China last year and she saw a lot of blatant rudeness and hostility towards the black students in her group. She got some blatant rudeness but not so much, and not much hostility. People would come up to her and say, “oh your skin is so pale, so pretty.” Black skin is ugly to the Chinese. And the Chinese are steeped in corruption and distrust, filled with an every-man-for-himself attitude, family first and the Chinese second, and the rest of the world not ranked.
