Former Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich. (AP Photo) (CNSNews.com) Four years after the House passed Obamacare, former Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) told Fox News Channels Neil Cavuto Wednesday that he does not regret voting for it.
No, I dont regret the vote. Im proud of the vote. I always felt that health care should be a right, not a privilege in this country - one of the reasons why I ran for Congress. Im glad to have helped accomplish that goal, Stupak said.
Stupak, a pro-life Democrat, led a group of other pro-life Dems prior to passage of the bill, who said they would not support the measure unless it included an amendment prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion. He supported the bill on the day of the final vote after President Barack Obama promised to sign an executive order to Stupaks liking.
Did you know that there would be these problems or that millions of Americans would have to pay more for their premiums or for that matter, maybe not have health care altogether? Cavuto asked Stupak.
Stupid Hack
Stupak is as Stupak does.
I would say “Please let a giant “D’oh” be heard from coast to coast this november when he loses re-election”, but unfortunately, he already ate his own shorts
“Bart Stupak baby killer.”
They have poll-tested, “Health-care should be a right, not a privilege”. It is the third time I have read it today from the Rats. We will hear it again and again. It must have tested well.
IIRC, Stupak was bought off by the promise that there would be no funding for abortions. ASAP, there was funding for abortions. So, I guess Stupak is a hypocrite. Either that or he’s just another Dem narcissist that will never admit a mistake. Or he was always lying that he was pro-life.
Stupak’s district and the Mn 8th are canaries in the coal mine. A deluge is coming.
The response should be that we have lost our health-care cause of Democratic party 'privilege'.
He’s got his kickback ca$h. No complaints.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....stupak /stupid somewhere along the generational line there was a typo.
I don’t think it was much more than a week after his vote that he announced his retirement.
I wonder why he’s so chatty now?
Stupak.......sounds like......stupid
Out of touch liberal living off special interest’s money who doesn’t have an iota what is is to live under Obama’s economy. I’d say he’s just sucking up to 0
Look at his areas of expertise at Venable and tell me he wasn’t a strategic placement.

What they really mean is healthcare is a right if someone else is paying for it
Health care should be a right. Unfortunately you don’t get it from drug and cut Allopaths. Allopathy only handles a minority of health problems. Their insistence that they are the only authorities on health is criminal in its scope and does the civilization a disservice. Unless you have a particular known condition with a known and proven allopathic cure (i.e. a broken leg, pneumonia, cataracts, etc.) you are better off avoiding the cut/pushers.
