Well, here we go again, the oh so very tolerant secular humanist liberal progressives are showing their ignorance of Americas Judeo-Christian faith heritage. As reported in The Christian Post, A Wisconsin-based atheist organization has demanded that Governor Scott Walker remove a posting on his Twitter feed that is religious in nature. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) stated Tuesday that they took exception to Walkers official account, including a tweet posted Sunday that simply read, Philippians 4:13. As rendered by the New King James Version, Philippians 4:13 states, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

They should have thought about that particular tweet before attacking. “I can do ALL things...” including survive vicious attacks by petty people.

The left teach tolerance but no one is more intolerant than the left.
Yeah, I know we’re talking atheists but they’re really in the same camp.
Atheists claim to be anti-religion, but never have problems with what Muslims do...
He should tweet a religious tweet every day - and watch their heads explode.
Or a passage from the Koran every day. Show what hypocrites they are themselves.
Walker could simply ignore them, he could backtrack, or he could double down. He should double down. While ignoring it is the usual Republican “high road” tactic, that isn’t effective. Double down.
Not only does the atheists’ position sound like a clear violation of every part of the First Amendment other than the peaceable assembly and petitioning the government clauses, it sounds very much like imposing a religious test for holding public office to me.
Yes he should. By doing that, without saying a word, he would be telling them to get a life.
Atheists got have faith in something, it seems.
Is this a “government owned” twitter account or a personal one? Is it just called “State governor”?
I think Walker is trolling them. He had to know it would cause a reaction. Might be a shrewd political move in addition to simply repeating a verse that we could all stand to remember.
Excuse me, but Walker is allowed to have his religious perspective. He isn’t forcing anyone to agree with him. Period.
And if they continued their shrill opposition, they would look increasingly like fools and extremists in the publics' eye.
The trouble with getting atheists to condemn what the Islamic Jihadists do in the name of their “religion” (in reality not a religion at all, but a very intense ideology that clothes itself in “religious” trappings) is that the atheists are scared of the bearded men with burning eyes.
It is OK to challenge and disparage those who speak softly and with their hands raised to the heavens, calling for grace and forgiveness for the unbelieving. The Muslims tolerate no disagreement from those whom they consider “unbelievers”, giving them only the third of three choices.
Because for the True Believer Muslim, there are only three states for humans to be found in, the first being the Noble Islamic Gentleman, anointed by Allah. The second rank, the Dhimmi, are permitted to pay a tax called jizya, for which they may be able to practice their personal beliefs in private, but they are forbidden to proselytize others. The entire female gender falls into this category, with an exception being made so long as they are part of the household of a Noble Islamic Gentleman, in which instance they are not subject to jizya.
Then the kufir, the “infidels” or “unbelievers”, fit only for a life as a slave or eunuch, with the least disobedience making them subject to the immediate slaughter by the Noble Islamic Gentleman, on almost any whim.
Most atheists would fit into this last category. Darned straight they should be unwilling to make any challenge to the Muslims.
The World Hates the Disciples
18 If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20 Remember what I told you: A servant is not greater than his master.[a] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21 They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. 24 If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. 25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: They hated me without reason.
John 15:18-25
Call the intolerant “Haters”. Over and over and over.
For they are.
“atheist organization has demanded”
The best answer, but one he lacks the stones to deliver, would be “FU atheist a-holes.”
