I have been supportive of the new Ukraine up to now. This double stupid retarded move makes me question the intelligence of those now in charge. A smarter thing to do would be to ask for these groups to leave the city and take their arms with them. Thank them for their help and say to them that they need their arms to defend Ukraine proper which is very definitely in jeopardy. Disarming your allies is a very stupid thing to do.

...I have been suspicious of this government....they have the support of OBAMA.

Remember a few weeks ago when Obama’s Deputy SecState and the US ambassador to Ukraine were caught on a phone call saying “F*** the E.U.”? That was a conversation regarding WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE OVER Ukraine if the Yankuovich guy (I think that was him) was overthrown. Yankuovich was Russian leaning, and the EU and Team Obama were each supporting different successors.

My guess is Team Obama wanted a guy who would OBEY their wishes—which apparently includes GUN GRABBING.

No disrespect to anyone here on FreeRepublic, but anyone who supports the Ukrainian government in this "conflict" against the Russians is delusional at best. This announcement about gun confiscation has let a dirty little secret out of the bag that should have been obvious to everyone a long time ago: The people driving this are not interested in freedom, liberty, and American values. They are big-government globalists who are building an empire, and tyranny is an absolute necessity for their ambitions.

I hate to say that you've been conned, but you have been.

This is part of what some of us have been cyber-screaming about the manipulated coup all along. It's the same playbook as Syria, Egypt and Libya. The protests start peaceful, and they start with locals who genuinely want more freedoms. They get taken over, and probably enabled by, more militant and outside groups who step up to violence. They have a coup.

Then, the powers that be that wanted regime change to go their way, want the power to be theirs, not the group that did the dirty work. In Libya, the violent groups aren't going easily. Remember NATO voted for airstrikes "so the protestors could go home peacefully" and then used that to oust Khaddafi when the protests failed? In Egypt, it took the military to clean up the mess when the Muslim Brotherhood gained control of the gov and over-reached. In Syria, those intent on violent coup won't stop, even if they level the country.

And now, same playbook. The thugs staged a violent coup (those burning tires are something that would've gotten them shot in any US city except a few crazier ones) and the puppet government is saying they should just hand in their guns, go back home, and oh by the way be exploited by globalist bankers and power brokers.

Should it concern us? Of course. Our troops belong on our southern border and the invaders need to be sent home before someone sees advantage in having their protests go violent.
