President Barack Obama is getting some help from the country's tech giants in his effort to show Americans how climate change will affect their communities.
The Obama administration thinks that local data, which may have a real-world effect on Americans' lives, will provide a convincing argument for steps to prevent climate change. The risk rising sea levels have on individual communities will be the focus of a new website, climate.data.gov, which uses government data to put environmental changes in context.
The White House also called on tech companies to develop tools for Americans to better get a grasp on how climate change could affect them. --snip-- Google, for example, is committing cloud computing infrastructure to help create maps that show the risks of extreme drought.

It changed by the grace of whatever God you worship, or not, but it did change and it will continue to change till the Sun Novas. Now that will be some serious and permanent climate change!

“So how do we fight back?”
Why even try to fight the Washington Royalty. Use our tax dollars to help the President bring about fundamental change. Instead of a carbon belching presidential motorcade, Obama would be much happier getting around Washington on presidential roller skates. Instead of constant “fact finding” trips around the world, politicians could content themselves with weekends in Moundhouse, Nevada. If that doesn’t sufficiently improve the environment, we can do away with all electrical and gas run conveniences and bring back the guillotine.

why does everyone seem to assume that climate change is bad? What, exactly, is the ideal temperature at any given poit on the planet? Perhaps a degree or two of warming would allow us to produce more food to feed the starving masses, and lastly, I understand that other planets in our solar system are experiencing slight warming. Probably their people using too much fossil fuel.

Simply ask the logical questions:
- What is the purest source of carbon fuel? Coal.
- How many coal-fired electric power plants are under construction in the US? Zero.
- How many coal-fired electric power plants are under construction in China? Dozens.
- How much pressure is on China to cease and desist in causing this putatively devastating global problem? None.
- What credence should the US public place on alarums related to US combustion of natural gas and petroleum? Little to none.
