In what appears to be an unexpected victory for a conservative businessman who had made s point of bucking his own party, Republican Scott Wagner is presumed to have won a write-in campaign to defeat party nominee Ron Miller for an open seat in the state Senate.
The closely watched, hotly contested face-off ended in disappointment for the Republican mainstay and a first major victory for the tea party in York County.
With 100 percent of the precincts reporting Tuesday night, write-in votes totaled 10,595 or 47.7 percent, to Miller's 5,920 or 26.6 percent. Democrat Linda Small of New Freeedom nearly edged out Miller with 5,704, for 25.7 percent....

The question begs, did they follow any other successful Write-In Models like current Mayor Duggan in Detroit, yes he is a D, but my point being a Write-In done right is the Stealth Game Changer, or am I the only one who sees it....
Whenever a candidate who campaigns as a conservative defeats the RINOs and the dems, it is excellent news. There's no doubt that it's the conservatism that got them elected....and that it can be done without bowing to the ptb.
Absolutely!
Smart money is on the latter.
This is indeed great news. He won as a write-in candidate. Wow! He must have run a very good campaign; huh?
He didn’t just win, he nearly DOUBLED the votes of the GOP zombie.
A write in guy? That has to be pretty rare.
He basically ran against the establishment. I think that was enough in a pretty conservative area.
Good for him! I pray that Rove, et al, are taking notice that their slander and misinformation is not working so well these days, that people are wising up to them.
I did a search for Scott Wagner at the WaPo. Got back zip. Not surprised.
“All Ive been hearing lately is that the TEA party is dead.”
Yes, but just like dead people who miraculously vote Dumocrap, we do the same to the GOPe and Dums.
The sting must be strong with the PA GOPe.
What do we have to do to wake KY up?
Gleason's hold on the panty-waist wavering GOP members from around Philadelphia has always been his ability to raise money and distribute campaign funds. My own State Senator, Kim Ward, who once followed Gleason's lead in supporting Arlen Specter, has now turned on him. My state Rep., Tim Krieger, was elected without his help and never cared for him from the get-go.
If you can get on your county committees to send Gleason out to pasture, now is a good time.
It would be like trying to teach the TEA Party a lesson in Wyoming.
What do we have to do to wake KY up?

I’ll tell you what would do it: 1.) If we could get Rand Paul to withdraw his endorsement of McConnell and say he is remaining neutral in the GOP Primary. Or better yet, 2.) withdraw his endorsement of McConnell and endorse Matt Bevin.
What are the chances of either of those happening? Who knows. If he knew that Conservatives are turning on him and that they will remember when he runs for Prez in 2016, he just might.
Thanks Nextrush.
That sounds like something a Wise Man (or Wise Latina!) would say. Somewhat cryptic, and can be taken literally, or figuratively. I hope the Tea boils over in November.
It must be a pretty literate county.
KY is like China in the words of Napoleon. Asleep and shall so remain, but if she wakes, who know?
Actually, I believe the Tea Party is very weak in WY. The Tea Party candidate for governor is getting no where in the race against all-establishment all-the-time Matt Mead.
Lets start throwing the tea in the water! Go TEAVOTERS Go!!!!!!!!
