MILWAUKEE (WITI) FOX6 News is learning more after two teens were shot to death on Milwaukees north side on Wednesday afternoon, March 12th. Milwaukee police say a 39-year-old maintenance worker is in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail in connection with the shooting. But could this be a case of self-defense?
A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were shot and killed in an apartment building near 27th and Vliet on Wednesday afternoon. The shooting reportedly occurred after some sort of argument.
Milwaukee police on Thursday identified the 19-year-old and 17-year-old. The 19-year-old is identified as James Bell, Jr. The 17-year-old is identified as Anmarie Miller.
Family members tell FOX6 News the two were a couple, who had young children together.
She has two babies and it`s just she wont be there now. We will help support those children. I lost a family member, and thats all my concern is right now, Millers cousin, David Guerrero said.
He wasnt a bad kid. Its just everybody makes bad decisions in their life. Things dont go as planned. I wish the outcome wouldve been better, Devonte Coleman, a friend of Bells said.
A representative from the Milwaukee County District Attorneys Office says the case is under review by their homicide unit but there is no word yet about possible charges.

Agreed. He shouldn’t be walking around.
Springfield XDm .45 all the way!
Mine’s the 4.5” bi-tone. Working with Springfield to get a threaded barrel for a suppressor so I don’t blow my ears out using it for home defense.

Ah our brain dead legal system at work again at its finest, what are they going to charge him with - “Defending himself for not wanting to be beaten to death”
she’s 17 and she already has TWO babies! Popping out those little welfare checks pretty quickly wasn’t she?
God move. Say nothing without your attorney.
Did you hear about this case in Washington state?

“Even if you do everything right in a self defense shooting, you still could go to prison.”

Open and shut case of self defense.
In the article comments section, the ferals’ friends are going on about how nice the two killed were. Other commentators are telling the friends off.
“Three young adults, armed with a deadly weapon (the bat) against one older maintenance man, holding him down and battering him while he was doing his job.”
There is supposed to be one or two videos of the event.
Bell was the 19 year old guy. Miller, the sweet young 17 year old girl, was the one hitting him with the bat. Alls is the surviving 20 year old.
IMHO, a 17 year old girl with a bat is armed with a deadly weapon, particularly when part of a group of fit young adults. The guy had ample justification for shooting them both. And the 20 year old, as a participant in assault with a deadly weapon (the bat), should be charged with two counts of felony murder. He was also released, possibly because the DA figured there was no way to avoid an OJ jury in the case.
Glad he has been released. Now I hope that the three stogies that handling this case can do something correct like get their act together and stop looking like idiots.
They look like perfect choices for the mac daddy DOJ.
Not to liberals in Milwaukee.
Self defense is a criminal act, to them.
Dear thugs, please come back to life so we can kill you again.
I wonder how many liberals in Milwaukee would not defend themselves if they were in this same situation, and had the means to do so
I know-—too many people, as well as politicians in WI think guns are bad! and the electorate keeps voting for them.
It is what it is-—and sometimes, what it is is poor protoplasm between the ears ...
a notice how many times the article mentioned Teens
Fifth Amendment. Smart. Go to jail for a few days now and avoid years of prison later.
