I wa looking at the news morning and how far Obama will go today - he of the famous "red lines" is any one's guess. Judging from this cartoon, the Russians do not really fear him:
I think that's about right - and Western sanctions will only hurt Putin's urban middle class opponents in Russia without doing anything to make his regime buckle and with Crimea a fait accompli, its not like Putin is looking to make Obama's life easier. Far from it.
