Ryan said on William Bennett's talk radio show, "Morning in America," that there was a "tailspin of culture, in our inner cities in particular, of men not working and just generations of men not even thinking about working or learning the value of work."

The Wisconsin lawmaker said in a statement that he "was inarticulate" about the point he was trying to make.
Paul Ryan now embraces historically bogus Hard Left talking points:
"I was not implicating the culture of one community, but of society as a whole," Ryan said. "We have allowed our society to isolate or quarantine the poor rather than integrate people into our communities. The predictable result has been multi-generational poverty and little opportunity."
Typical. A Democrat would never apologize but a Republican winds up on his knees.
Ryan is such a RINO prick. I won’t shed a tear if this derails his “career”. Let him join his Democrat butt buddy Gutierrez on the other side of the aisle.
Tell them when it is not racist to form the “White Congressional Caucus” and blacks (12% of the population) stop causing 60% of the murders - when can talk...
Allen West wouldn’t apologize.
So glad this man didn’t end up our VP.
I tell em to FO.
“You guys are the ones screaming the most equality and opportunity. Combine that with abysmal statistics for “your community” and the obsevation I have is imperical. You numb nutz want freebies by virtue of race alone.
Dusting your azz off to get ahead through self determination and ambition just never crosses your mind.
You’d rather hustle the rest of us.”
Latin Name: Wimpus Americus Apologeticus
A lot of our conservatives are not quick on their “verbal feet.” Ryan is very plodding because he’s very factual, which in the real world would be a good thing, but in the political world is a handicap.
Maybe his meeting will give him a better chance to recruit a few converts to his analysis of the situation.
Reagan was successful because he was an excellent communicator (remember, he had been an actor). Even the press couldn’t distort him when people heard him.
I’m not sure we have anybody now with these communication skills. Cruz, Rick Scott, and even Walker are successful but come across as very wooden. Does anybody know if Gov. Susanna Martinez is a good speaker? Or if we even have any good speakers?
For once Ryan speaks the total truth and now he’s apologizing. For what?
Its about time somebody stood up and told the Blacks that the gravy train is over and its time to start pulling themselves out of their own misery like the rest of us have to do.
Frightened bunny party doing what they do best.
We live in a politically correct world now.
And, there are certain things you aren’t allowed to say.
You are not allowed to say certain things about officially recognized grievance groups, such as racial minorities or homosexuals.
Ryan violated the rules of political correctness. In so doing, it does not matter if you make truthful statements. The content of what you said makes no difference. All that matters is that the liberals, based on their own subjectively biased criteria, will tear you apart for saying certain things.
And, there are the issues of “code words”. In talking about the cities, or inner cities, liberals perceive such words as meaning references to minority residents of cities.
He happens to be right. I know three such men personally, two sons following in their father’s footsteps, living off the hard work of their wife and mother. They’re white. Ryan never said it was exclusively black men.
Another Pubbie Wuss.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving RINO.
My... The DNC has purged anyone with a hint of Conservative Values. gone John Breaux, Zell Miller, Joe Lieberman, Gov. Casey and his Pro-Life stance, and I am sure many Freeper's can add to the list.
When DPM was on Meet da Depressed, it was what 93' or 94' and that one line absolutely nixed HillaryCare yet you wonder if she had something on him since he essentially handed her his seat.
Look at how far the left has swerved, that within their ranks or ours, when Paul Ryan says essentially the same thing 20 years ago, he is now fighting for his political life...
And people here lambaste those who want to leave the US and surrender their passport before "it" hits the Rotary Oscillator? Considering what they are doing to Paul, can you blame them and is all hope lost?
The truth can NEVER be racist.
Unfortunately the gravy train is not over. There will be deep cuts in social security and higher taxes for the wealthy but the inner city welfare class is not losing their gravy train.
