Levin is right about this:

"The point is this: If we don't get new Republican leadership in Washington, clean out these consultants, clean out these Republican institutions, and put in some fresh people, new people, solid people who are really concerned about the country, really concerned about winning, this is the sort of sleazy crap that's going to go on."

I didn’t read the Politico article but I would suggest that caution is in order.

Consider the source. Politico is a member in quite good standing of the Elect Dems At All Cost MSM. I’m betting that the Dems polling showed them either losing or too close to call and the Politico story was their last chance to pull it out.

It didn’t work.

And it is a fact that Jolly was hardly the ideal candidate. He may make a great Congressman but on paper he probably didn’t look like the best choice. This could be a routine discussion blown way out of proportion by Politico.

That a candidate who is apparently an actual conservative can win an election despite a lack of support, or even with outright hostility, from the republicrat establishment is good news.

It is reprehensible that these same republicrats would now back-slap and glad-hand him as if they supported him all along; and like Mr. Levin, I hope he is wise enough to remember who his real friends are.

Will Mr. Jolly have primary opposition in the September (or is it October?) primary?

Boehner sure did make a huge mistake trying to undermine Jolly.

That’s one vote he might not get for majority leader.

They are morons because the polls had the race as tossup at worst. The Libertarian is the only reason Stink got within 2 points. It should have been a comfortable win for Jolly.

I would put most of my ire on “Politico” however rather than the “leaders” they quoted. They wanted a negative piece on Jolly, so they cooked one up.

This marks the second time that illustrious Alex Sink lost a race that rats thought she should win easily. Maybe it’s cause she looks like James Carville in a wig.
