I didn’t read the Politico article but I would suggest that caution is in order.

Consider the source. Politico is a member in quite good standing of the Elect Dems At All Cost MSM. I’m betting that the Dems polling showed them either losing or too close to call and the Politico story was their last chance to pull it out.

It didn’t work.

And it is a fact that Jolly was hardly the ideal candidate. He may make a great Congressman but on paper he probably didn’t look like the best choice. This could be a routine discussion blown way out of proportion by Politico.

I didn't follow this race close enough to have an opinion on Jolly, but from what I've seen of him after his win, he looks like a conservative winner.

What was wrong with him?
