New research published by Stanford Univeristy Wednesday reveal phone and Internet metadata collected by the NSA can expose far more information about an individual than the agency admits, including, medical conditions, financial and legal connections, and even whether they own a gun.
Two of the schools computer science graduate students were able to uncover the sensitive personal details of individuals from phone data details, like the numbers of callers and recipients, the location of callers, phone serial numbers and the length of conversations all of which are data the signals intelligence agency collects in bulk both domestically and internationally.

If you haven’t done anything wrong why would you care? /s
Ok, NSA, so how may fingers am I displaying right now?
Conspiracy Nut-job Pig-worthy?
Just one.
Only if you put it in the public via the web and phone.
I presented some of my doctoral research at a conference in New Orleans this summer. One of the keynote speakers talked about this. Computer science people are generally a liberal-leaning bunch, but the entire audience was universally libertarian on this point. You can find out essentially everything about a person from their “metadata” and the point was that whether the NSA associates the metadata directly with a person or not is irrelevant since it’s uniquely correlated to you anyway.
In other words, **** the NSA.
Revolution.
Revolution.
Those b@stards are most likely claiming MY Meatloaf Recipe as their own by now!
Unconstitutional!
Academics, yes. Practitioners, no.
Most people in the trenches are apolitical or libertarian.
Not only do I not need your meta data to tell you how many you are holding up, I can even tell which one it is!
Imagine the metadate God has on each of us: words, actions, thoughts, motives....
Anyone "in the life" knew from the beginning that you can find out just about everything you need to know about a call from its jacket and by datamining all of the interconnections within a cohort.
People who bought the excuse that "it was only metadata" were either stupid, ignorant of the facts, or deliberately lying.
Except Candle Jack.
Resist all you want.....jus’ sayin’....
Content is not metadata.
they won’t get much from ours.
We have texting blocked on our dumb phones and rarely make a phone call, like 2 per week maybe.
