The Chinese government has released satellite images showing "a suspected crash area at sea," including "three suspected floating objects," near the flight's planned path. Taken Sunday morning but not made public until today, the blurry shots are located northeast of Kuala Lumpur, south of Vietnam, in what may be the most promising lead thus far, on the fifth day of a frustrating, otherwise fruitless search.
Fair enough, but if you were a country that had just spent the huge $$$ to develop a nuke, you could just buy a commercial airliner.
Virtually every country in the world has commercial airlines of some variety or another. It’s not that difficult to buy a Boeing 777. And if your country has the billions required to develop a nuke, you can afford a commercial airliner. Why steal one and bring unwarranted attention?
Even a terrorist group that’s reasonably well-financed could afford an airliner. And if it’s a terrorist group that can afford to develop a nuke, or even buy one “off the shelf”, they can afford a 737 or an A330.
Yes, a commercial airliner would indeed make a good delivery system. But so would a freighter and a cargo container.
Or a U-Haul.
Helicopters should’ve been all over this for quite a while now...
Phrase helper - bated breath.
Baited breath would mean you smell like stinky fish or squid or some such.
see video from post 12, video gives out dimensions for each piece found.
Thanks for that :)
I figured someone had satellite images from the plane going down. We probably have them too. It’s probably been a pi$$ing match between several countries (us included) to wait for someone else to release their picts.
Unless you're going fishing, it's bated breath.
You mean, why would Malaysia point to the Strait of...Malarkey?
Lets assume the plane was high jacked. Could it be that Malaysia shot the plane down with the tacit consent of the Chinese, given the majority of the passengers were Chinese and China was the likely the ultimate target for the plane? Consent that China now refuses to acknowledge?
Just sayin.
Has anyone asked Charlie Sheen?
If I were the investigators, I’d look for the big red arrow first. Much easier to find and you’d also know you’re close. /jk
Seriously, they should compare it to earlier and later imagery to determine whether it was always there or if it recently appeared and is still floating.
And they'd probably demand the release of ALL the picts. They're not afraid to throw down. /jk
That airplane almost broke Boeing. The gubmint kept the contract going till 46 so the company wouldn’t go out of business.
You are confusing Chinese capability with American capability.
This satellite does not have the resolution of the best of the best
Actually I was referring to American capability. Certainly there must be Western surveillence keeping an eye on that part of the world.
UPS doesn’t work well enough?
Oh?
How can you tell with no scale given?
It looks like a white housefly to me...
Ah.... modify my last reply.
Well; it SOUNDED right when I dictated it!
How would you know?
Even I know how to use the BLUR function.
