On March 9th NBC's Bob Costas dismissed criticism of his having armed guards while disparaging "gun culture" by saying his guards were NBC and NFL security, not "personal" bodyguards.
He did this while being interviewed by Fox News's Howard Kurtz, who brought up Costas's December 2012 halftime criticism of "the NFL's gun culture."
Kurtz said, "You were accused of injecting politics into halftime, and Fox News's Greg Gutfeld said you were 'a hypocritical buffoon' because you're in New York, and you're surrounded by armed guards, and you don't have to worry about safety."

I really do not like Howard Kurtz’ “Media Matters” show on Fox. He had a little panel discussing CPAC, and Paul and Cruz leading the pack. Every one of his 3 panelists discounted the seriousness of their presence. (But when it was Christy, their comments ascribed seriousness to him...even though they discounted his candidacy.)
And that’s just one example. This one about the interview with Costas doesn’t really tell the story. If Kurtz had been any more deferential, Costas would’ve had to stoop to talk to a kneeling Kurtz.
I’ve never liked Costas, and he is a hypocrite.
Dang man, this guy comes across as a genuinely nice guy, family guy, etc. What evidence do you have that Costas is a sodomite? If not then what are you talking about? He’s a guy like so many that don’t get it, not necessarily because they’re “bad” people but they need remedial education and possibly a spiritual renewal so the Lord can enlighten him. That’s how most of us got here IMO. It’s OK to hate the deceptions someone embraces but let’s care a little more about the person - that’s the first step toward conversion.
