National GOP turns on Florida candidate
Politico ^ | 3/7/14

Posted on 03/10/2014 8:19:12 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Their frustration had been mounting for weeks. But by late January national Republicans had had it with David Jolly, their candidate in Tuesday’s nationally watched Florida congressional special election. The candidate had just told the state’s top political reporter that he disagreed with an ad the party was airing against his Democratic opponent — a spot paid for with the nearly $500,000 the GOP had already spent on Jolly’s behalf....

Been saying that since November 7, 2012. Why? Because on November 6, 2012, the Democrat Party perfected [eliminated the few remaining bugs] of their election stealing process.

It was a typical Karl Rove sort of hosshiite thing with the candidate communing with the peeps and with an insipid and bland message, they ruined the final shot with all kinds of "paid for" and "approved by" supers. Looked like some foreign country was behind the guy. Geez, they even had Bob Barker as spokesman ... just wonderful RNC Country-club admen at work again ... spending millions with no appreciable effect or result.

Meanwhile, the Obamaslut, had the geezers who come here to die in the Sun instead of South Dakota, quaking in their support hose about the "end of their Social Security" and "The Death of Medicare at the hands of Republican fat cats who just don't care about you, Grandma."

Cheap win for the Mombasa MF.
Jolly ain't a bad guy, just a bad campaigner with a little too much personal baggage. Hell, he might even be a conservative. Since I hang out in a Republican neighborhood, I never even saw him, despite my invitation to his campaign to address a more intelligent sort of geezer than lives in the south half of the district.

Florida can be very hard to take if you graduated from an accredited 50s High School! Really dumb, tattooed fat people, whose vote for some reason, is equal to mine! And then the geezers ... many of whom are Yellow-Dog Democrats from Rust Belts who think Harry Truman is still President.

You haven't taken in consideration the moral condition of the people then. An impostor such as barrack Obama, if that is his actual name, in a land of moral decent people would have had no chance of being elected. But, he is who the majority of those that voted, said they wanted to occupy the White House, not once, but twice consecutively. So, yes, Sink has a very good chance of winning.

The National GOP is a subsidiary of the DNC.

the RNC says it wants to “help” but all it really wants is to “do it their way” and so instead of making the bulk of its support in the form of financial aid to the GOP encumbant, and then coordinating the PR campaign approachs, with very strong local involvment and support, the RNC just wants candidates to be slavishly greatful for the “support” which most means RNC funding for RNC decided and controlled activity in their own campaign - often uncorridinated with the candidate; and in the end, the RNC WILL blame the candidate and never confess that IT might have been the problem.

” 41-year-old candidate accompanied on the campaign trail by a girlfriend 14 years his junior.”

It’s close, but this could be OK under the “half your age plus seven years” rule for such things.

Col. West does not live in this District.

To be fair, neither does Alex Sink.

Sink is the very definition of carpetbagger, and the Jolly campaign has been playing on that since the beginning. Jolly, while not a true conservative, is about what one should expect from Pinellas county politics. Jolly's been involved in politics since he was in college, so he's relatively seasoned in the politics of the area. He will NOT be another Bill Young. Young was a lifer and grew up in Pinellas when it was orange groves from Tarpon to Lakewood.

My bet: Jolly wins by less than 2% of the vote.

She is a standard- issue faintly unisex Elizabeth Warren with a dyke hairdo, a Left-clone without any redeeming social value ... a Soccer Mom Global Warmer, ad inf, ad nauseam.

Bravo! You have a way with words.

I hope Sink gets sunk.

To use a well-worn cliche: From your lips to God’s ears. I feel much better about the race now. So, Jolly is not a political novice. That’s good. I’m encouraged; thanks.

Jolly's been running a pretty good radio ad over and over on the Limbaugh station. I'm not in his district, but I would give him an A-plus and undoubtedly a vote on this ad alone.

This fellow’s got a girlfriend 14 years his junior? That’d make me give him the side eye for sure. And why is he distancing himself from that TV ad? Criticizing Sink for using a state plane for personal travel is the way to go. You want to highlight waste like that.

Something sounds fishy all the way around with this.

Just voted*. HUGE turnout, they say. Totally slipped my mind (or what could be left of it after years of dealing with Floridiots) that there is a Libertarian or something running and pulling God knows how many votes from Jolly!

Another case of vote for the best man and get the worst possible slut? Too bored to give my standard lecture on the evils of the Two-Party, Big-Tent, Hands-across-the-aisle, share-the-swag bullshiite that is going to end this Republic.

*Yeah, I vote in two states. Shoot me.
