Saturday European officials indicated two of the people on board were using passports that had been stolen in Thailand. On Sunday Malaysia’s transport minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, said Malaysian intelligence officials were also checking the identities of two other passengers, according to The Associated Press.

“All the four names are with me and have been given to our intelligence agencies,” Hishammuddin said, according to The AP. “We do not want to target only the four; we are investigating the whole passenger manifest. We are looking at all possibilities.”

A guy on Fox News was talking to Judge Jeanine and he said its been going on for years how people will use stolen passports to go to a different country and then seek asylum, could be the case here..but also heard today how there were 5 passengers who were NOT allowed on board and their luggage was removed

Yes. And we’re talking Asia. Plenty of natural drug resources there.

This is a major accident. Everyone here always wants it to be Moslems or Dems (story depending) so they can have a “told you so”.

What’s this?

Snip:

The Thai travel agent who booked the tickets for the men told the Financial Times on Monday that she had been asked to arrange the travel by an Iranian contact.

.........I propose we give the Jews (I use that word here respectfully) a contract for ALL airport security on the planet. Included in the contract would be a bonus of 1 billion dollars (roughly the cost of one airplane crash) each January 1 if there were no terrorists incidents the previous year
on the worlds airlines.

In pursuit of the billion buck bonus, the Jews would never allow another airliner to be brought down by terrorists!

Problem solved!

Another bonus: Unemployment in Israel drops to Zero. Plus, all terrorists they catch are turned over to a Mossad disposal unit.

Yep. This is entirely baffling. No plane to be found anywhere.

I just returned from Amsterdam and was surprised that my shoes were not required to be removed. We did have the body scanner though.

Me and you both brother. I used to fly a lot, especially in my military days. Back and forth overseas on civilian airlines. It was nice in the 1970s and 1980s. None of this crap. I flew back to Germany out of NY back in 1972. It was a KLM Dutch airlines 747 flight. There were probably no more than 100 people on that flight on that huge plane. I went to my seat and there was no one on my row. I got several pillows, pulled up the seat handles to make one large three seat bed. I told the attendant not to wake me for any meals or anything. She woke me up and said that we were landing in Frankfurt. I slept in my nice little 3 seat bed for about 7-8 hours. Woke up nice and refreshed as it was early morning in Germany. Like I went to bed and woke up in Germany. Best flight I have ever been on.

Why would the US want that information. As long as the TSA’s get to grope people, restrict size of shampoo and make us take off our shoes, that’s all they care about.

I’m thinking that if they don’t find the plane, everybody had better make their peace with God. Has anyone else had that thought?

Now that’s awesome. I used to live right under an airport runway, it was great fun watching those huge planes come over.

The plane had a meter long piece of the wing clipped off several years ago in a ground collision. I’m no metallurgist, but I would think a jolt like that could leave a undetectable hairline crack near the fuselage.

NDT. Non destructive testing. Bore scope, X-Ray, Mag Particle, and Ultrasonic Thickness testing are just a few test applied in that very situation and any weakness or cracking would have been spotted. NDE/NDT is what I do for a living..

From your description, that flight sounded heavenly.

Thank you for serving our country.

I agree, it’s a knee-jerk reaction that gets old very quickly. A factory explosion in Minnesota; “Terrorist attack! Loads of Muslims in Minnesota” a fire in a car in downtown LA “Terrorist attack!”.

I’m not saying this incident is not a terrorist attack, but it seems less and less likely as time goes on. There is usually some “chatter” prior to major attacks and this is flagged up after the incident, in this case there is no indication of any intel. The Chinese would not be slow to announce it if they though it was a terrorist attack, in the train station stabbings last week they almost immediately called it terrorism and chided the western media for their reluctance to call it such.

Now we are reading that an Iranian bought the tickets that used the stolen passports and of course the experts here are off the wall calling it a terrorist attack because as we know every single Iranian is a terrorist. Except of course for the network of Iranians in SE Asia who are well-known for being behind the crystal-meth and people-smuggling trade, I mean it’s not like those sort of people would ever use passports they stole off westerners in go-go bars in Pattaya Thailand or anything is it?

Well, I was wrong. Apparently, they didn’t find the first debris from AF 447 for FIVE days. Or so everyone is saying today. Of course, that was in the middle of the Atlantic. I am not sure if they even know where MH370 crashed.

not sure. I’ve also heard that if China was just a connect point - the traveler going thru to other destinations with a connecting flight (so not leaving the airport) - a Chinese visa was not required. I wonder about the transponder being turned off - an explosion wouldn’t do it; it would seem to be an intentional act.
