According to one estimate, since 2012 the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm. DHS also reportedly purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAPs) to go with their bullet stockpile.
ATK is one company that won a contract with the Department of Homeland Security to provide 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition in 2012.
TSA, an agency within the DHS, purchased 3.5 million rounds of .357 SIG caliber training ammunition in September.
Recently TSA purchased 1,386 pounds of dynamite to go with their ammo. The Activist Post reported:
Put this in the What in the hell are they thinking? category, but the Department of Homeland Securitys (DHS) protectors of the friendly skies, the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) has submitted another request for high explosives via the Federal Business Online website today, and has issued a Limited Source Justification for three businesses to provide the material: Hallowell Manufacturing LLC, Omni Explosives Inc, and Tripwire Operations Group.

Another crazy globalist.
1,980 sticks of dynamite to train 800 canine...seems reasonable...
A completely new additional reason to watch what they do very carefully when they grope you at the airport.
Just stockpiling for Obama's civilian (private army) armed forces which he openly admitted as part of his plans of transforming our country. The pieces of the puzzle are on the table, the problem is that not many want to start putting the pieces together for fear of seeing what the finished picture looks like. It's as, if you don't look a it, it isn't there..................
On the plus side, imagine the hilarity of trying to train TSA agents to use dynamite.
They should issue them cyanide capsules as well, to swallow if they might be captured by the Tea Party or Christians or somebody like that.
Why? Like with so much else the federals do, it is “because we can, and nobody can stop us.”
Just exactly (that means truthful) how was that purchase justified and for what means?
That's just goofy. Dynamite? Why not C4, if they want to blow something...
shhhh...you'll upset the hero worshippers.
They can legitimately claim they require ammo for “training” and then get into a disagreement about how much of it is needed based on annual consumption rates for said training. I don’t agree with their purchase but there is a need to replenish ammo for real purposeful uses.
But how much TNT are they consuming annually while they “train”?
Its certainly not anything they are using annually to do anything with so they need to be forced to describe the justification for ANY TNT.
We should be wise to think the worse about their intentions until they have a legitimate use and need for TNT.
That makes me question the low tech version even more. I suppose you cannot hack or EMP det cord and dynamite setups. Sounds like demolition old style.
My guess is that the TSA is purchasing this for a black ops agency we never heard of. That probably explains a lot of the ammo as well.
I believe the DHS is a money laundering front for the purchase of arms to be secretly supplied to terrorists and other armed groups in the mideast and other areas of the world.
Another way obumbler gets around congress.
How long until they have their own nukes?
The mac daddy administration is going from “Fast and Furious” to “Fast and Blowup”.
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
Or perhaps from Fast and Furious to False and Flagulous?
This smells to high heaven. I’m thinking that this might be purchased through TSA for someone else who they want off the books as having received it.
Normally they put tracers in that stuff now so they can identify the residue and back track it. Of course since the only people who have that database is probably the ATF or FBI it goes without saying this stuff will be untraceable if it ever went boom.
We need to contact our senators and demand they account for it after purchase and list exactly what it is intended for. Dynamite is old school as hell, why not more stable C4 if they need something to detonate with? Or if used for training incredibly low power stuff, you can get it in different grades and I’m sure whoever is supplying it could manufacture a batch that only goes POOF instead of BOOM, and would smell the same to dogs as well.
Something about this stinks unless and until they admit to a very specific and justifiable reason to accumulate that much old fashioned explosive.
Fishing?
DINGDINGDING we got a winner right here folks!
