Last weekend, I reported on Connecticut John Cinque's 2013 warning to lawmakers that he would not comply with their attempts to force the citizens of Connecticut to register their semi-automatic weapons and high capacity magazines. Since that time, the video, though a year old, has gone viral. However, in a recent video between Mr. Cinque and Connecticut gubernatorial candidate Joe Viconti, Cinque reveals that a Branford, Connecticut police officer told him, "I Cannot Wait to Get the Order to Kick Your Door In."

Come alone, we’ll have cookies and conversation!
"Did you really envision THAT as the way and the day you would die?"
...paging Henry Bowman....please pick up the courtesy phone..
I have already switched my defensive shotgun rounds...20 and 12...to slugs from #6 shot. Five slugs in the mag with a #6 birdshot as a follower.
Actually, I have my 12 ga. Mossberg loaded with Centurion .65 steel rounds. A nasty little bugger.
Let the JBTs start their actions. I will not comply.
Violent post? Perhaps. Ban it. I dunna care.
If a rabid dog is running around and hasn’t actually bitten anyone yet, is it OK with you if it gets home safe?
It’s not just rogue cops we don’t like; if you recall the “Doomsday Prepper” with his homemade body armor who was going to help himself to everyone else’s stuff if necessary, there was strong disapproval of him too, with suggestions that a preemptive strike would be appropriate.
Based on your user name, I’m presuming you like to drive around with the lights and siren running.
What the heck has that got to do with the discussion?
Many of us would prefer storm-troopers don’t make it home safe.
“as long as a judge signs the warrant.”
All the little SWATies are. They LOVE kicking in doors. Many are prior military now. I just talked to a SF medic that was being offered a $100k+ job but took going to a Sheriff’s department because he wanted to be on the SWAT team instead.
Yeah, kinda noticed that trend.
Makes me want to vomit.
Then there’s the “I’m the master” mentality among law enforcement.
I seriously distrust cops now.
Because they are incapable of honestly policing their own.
What a shame.
“Based on your user name, Im presuming you like to drive around with the lights and siren running.”
A 13 year-old’s mentality. A little boy wanting to play grownup.
“I seriously distrust cops now.
Because they are incapable of honestly policing their own.”
I’ve never trusted them since I was a kid and learned what the “Thin Blue Line” meant. It means, “Them vs us”.
I am, as little Tommy Daschle phrased it, Deeply Saddened...
Hope he enjoys the farm. ;-)
Wanted to be a cop once.
Because the area I lived in at the time had old style officers who were “real people” who were active in the town, known to everyone, and more likely to actually help you.
A different world, and one that no longer exists.
What changed?
We moved, my brother was falsely arrested, and my family suffered twenty years of police harassment.
Kinda sours you on the idea.
“Not so when the terrorist is the government. You wrongly assume any and all orders given by a government employee are correct and not a terrorist threat.”
Of course those cops always work on the principle of using ovewhelming force to go after people. He was envisioning kicking down that guys’ door with about 8 of his SWAT buddies. I’m sure its never entered his head that if someone was standing on the other side of the door and the SWAT boys stacked up on the front stoop a .50 cal shot through the door would go through all of them and into the house across the street. So 8 dead cops on the front stoop. They never think of stuff like that because they envision everyone laying down and submitting. One of these days something bad is going to happen. I hope not but it likely will. People will only put up with so much before they lose it.
I wouldn’t try this. I would be arrested and charged with terrorist threat. And it would send me to prison.
This I couldn’t predict with 100% accuracy, but I’d say 99%.
That cop deserves the same, unless, of course, his trial reveals more to this story than we have learned.
Well, that would do it. I have never had an experience like that, and it would no doubt color my views as it had yours.
I still treat cops with default respect. I try to adhere to my own personal code I call “Default Respect”. That is, I treat people (or attempt to) with respect until they demonstrate to me via word or deed they aren’t worthy of it, at which point I can be civil, but respect is not given, which colors any interactions thereafter.
The first thing to go is respect. The next thing is civility.
I will treat anyone with civility and respect until they compel me to do otherwise, and that includes police.
I remember that thread. I made this graphic which referenced the quote of the liberal prepper (hard to tell, but he is the scumbag on the right):
He'll be named shortly after kicking in the wrong door.
