Last weekend, I reported on Connecticut John Cinque's 2013 warning to lawmakers that he would not comply with their attempts to force the citizens of Connecticut to register their semi-automatic weapons and high capacity magazines. Since that time, the video, though a year old, has gone viral. However, in a recent video between Mr. Cinque and Connecticut gubernatorial candidate Joe Viconti, Cinque reveals that a Branford, Connecticut police officer told him, "I Cannot Wait to Get the Order to Kick Your Door In."

Why?
Night is young.
Plenty of time to waste.
So, would you have followed the confiscation laws or not?
You lack discernment.
But many others kicked doors in. My door will get defended. Perhaps you want to list your address where the door kick in will get whimpers.
my cat says out of his cold dead claws
Gladdens me to hear we still have some who hold the Bill of Rights dear.
There are some who seem all too willing to do the opposite.
The sad thing is that the goon only openly spoke what a large percentage of JBT’s think.
Not all cops are bad, or even most, but there are a percentage for whom the opportunity to kick in a door and shoot everyone and the dog is the very reason the became one.
What is his name and where does he live?
It’s amazing how easily a thread can be hijacked by a tar baby like Code Respond Three. Just leave him be folks.
When did you move to Connecticut?
What was wrongful is that the cop singled him out personally for maximum aggression, instead of expressing enthusiasm for enforcing this particular law fairly and generally in the most peaceful possible way. Those two issues - personal focus and maximum endangerment, turn the statement into a terroristic threat outside of the bounds of his authority.
And, as it could only serve to inflame the fears of the citizenry, it also increased the possibility of panic fighting on both sides, and thereby increased the possibility of deaths for both families AND cops. So as he increased the risk of harm to his fellow officers, he undermined law enforcement safety as well.
Is that enough?
I am simple minded too! Don’t forget me! I had a much higher SAT than Billy Clinton, but I am a stoopid conservative!!!
“Copy that Sky Eyes, moving back to base. Out.”
Yes, agreed.
Why should I prove a damn thing to a cop? It was one of your crew that made a veiled threat to a citizen. Sure, try to tap dance around the fact that he has yet to be given an order. The POS has clearly stated he looks forward to carrying out the order.
I, and many others do not think this sort of thug should feel comfortable about going home safe with this sort of entusiasm about gunning down those that pay his salary.
Too bad you are so obtuse you cannot see this thug is quite clearly stating his emotional reaction to Cinque's statement. He should have kept his mouth shut. But, maybe you can see that and are just trying some sort of half-arsed damage control on behalf of JBTs everywhere?
He has tipped his hand and now many gun owners are going to be at a different level of awareness than they might have otherwise have been. Not good for cops that "were just following orders".
Repercussions from this cop's diarrhea of the mouth may well spill over to jurisdictions beyond Connecticut. Unintended consequences, indeed? Time, and intelligent politicians will tell.
Your tacit approval (or dismissal) of the thug's idiot statement (he did not do anything yet) is beyond pathetic. You know full well he was stating his eagerness to do the much loved dynamic entry thing. You should think of a second career as a tap dancer.
Even if there wasn’t such a thing it still becomes a question of “how far should a tyranny be allowed to go?”
It is true. They serve and protect the status quo and their gravytrain.
It is true. They serve and protect the status quo and their gravytrain.
Lol!
I’m marveling over how your concise and easily understood question was somehow “not clear.”
I..
..I’ve only seen such fail from ny state lawmakers!
“To the end of my sword.” to borrow imagery from a different time period.
I.e. “not if I can help it”.
This doesn’t mean that someone should go literally attack him now, of course. That would be very wrong, in fact.
But he ought to know that sometimes the affairs of men do become wars. The rural constables of New York state were more sensible. They told Albany to take a flying leap.
Maybe the next shot heard around the world will be in Connecticut, in an ill fated raid. But we would far rather hope that Hartford gets the hint.
” But, as the cop has done nothing,”
BULLSHIT
He threatened a citizen.
You cops don’t have a right to do that.
And us citizens are right to take your threats seriously.
