I saw the passenger manifest and cannot make sense of the two children from the USA that were onboard.
From the names that were listed, I didn't see anything there that indicated their parents were passengers. Of course, maybe some kin/friends were accompanying them.
Just my conspiracy theory so take it for what it's worth.
They were probably less aware of the horror than the adults—and I feel as bad for the adults who died as for the children.
I feel terrible for all of them, what a horrible way to go, its what I fear every time I get on board a plane..let’s just say Im not the best flyer in the world, Im always a nervous wreck, hearing stories like this doesn’t calm my nerves
For every kid, there was at least one adult with the same last name. Couldn't those have been parents?
Dad was white , mom Chinese.
I heard on the news the two “American children” had Chinese parents, and were just born in the U.S. There was only one American man on board who was an overseas worker for IBM. All these early reports are bound to be jumbled though.
Stewards/Stewardesses are assigned to children traveling alone either due to divorce or death, and are met by airline personnel if requested at the other end with the parents for security reasons.
Many early reports are jumbled, but that makes perfect sense.
There were 7 on board.
seat 45, (age 3, with father)
seat 104, (age 4, US Citizen with family members)
seat 162, (age 2 with mother)
seat 163,164 (age 14 and age 17 siblings, with father)
seat 213 (age 2, US Citizen with family members)
seat 219 (age 3 with family members)
There was a Chinese-? who lived in New Jersey. I remember the media calling her American but I think she moved to the US in the last 4 or so years.
