The only trouble I have with the poster is that I don’t see Putin’s policies as those of his country. He sets the agenda without the consent of the Russian people. He’s manipulated that nation for the last 14 years. He’s as much a third world president-for-life type as any of those who plunder their nation. And his physique, with his flabby man boobs, is really not something to show off.

And yet, your description of Putin, with the exception of any ‘manly’ connotation, could be changed with the replacement of the word ‘Putin’ by ‘Obama’ and a change from 14 to almost 7, and it would apply here, too.

You need to understand the Russian psychology....they need and applaud strong leaders, for good or ill, going all the way back to the early princes and Mongol Khans. Although Stalin held nothing but contempt for his people(s), they loved him in spite of his brutality.

Putin will go down in Russian history as one of their greatest and most beloved leaders. Count on it.
