I caught a bit of Rick Perry's CPAC speech today and, boy, does he have a fire in the belly.
Had we seen this fire in 2012, then perhaps he would have won the GOP nomination. Of course, Perry underwent back surgery which significantly contributed to his lackluster campaign.

...(”If Globalist means we in the U.S. end up having to conform to the rules of the European Union, I say no, because we will directly and completely lose our independence”)...
You have it...
I’m not sure how much longer we can stave that off when Washington aligns or lends itself with EU/NATO etc. who are manipulating country’s for resources, revenue and the power those weld.....which is the Globalist Agenda. Heck even Salon has recently been questioning what we are doing...as they see us too often supporting the bad guys.
Further we are signing agreements which more and more are setting us up for Global Governance. I’d have to check but a short while ago , when we were otherwise occupied, Obama pushed through an agreement which put us in the position of accountability to them....the problem is who exactly the them IS has not yet fully come together.
Look at all the countries the IMF is propping up in the EU, and the conflicts worldwide are about ‘trans-national’ corporation control of global markets and governments and labor.... and pretty much everything in our lives....
....The world is looking like a corporate state and these corporations will use anything in their grasp to cloud issues and manipulate the general population ..and our media walks hand in hand with them...as does the banking and investment institutes.
So how long we can remain Independant of Global Governance is the question....it has been stated that the USA, Canada and Mexico will be one so called trading block...and once the US gets it’s “work” done with the Venzuela uprising there will be more in South America to align them with the Agenda.
The GameBoard they are playing on is so far above what we are privy to is frustrating to say the least. It is never what it appears to be from our media.
Some folks don't remember how cruel we are because we don't want to send illegals to college.
Amnesty is the straw that breaks the Republic.
Trans Texas Corridor doesn’t mean anything to you?
Borrowed an iPhone I cannot type on these things
Hose not many here understand the obvious. Would Harry really kill the filibuster if they thought there was a chance in he77 they would ever lose the Senate?
What is painfully obvious is we have either became a socialist/communist nation or the elections are rigged. Neither of those options are easily overcome.
Hey if Rick Perry won the nomination I’d be happy. I’d be happy with Ted Cruz too. Paul Ryan is a no, tho. At this point.
Reagan won his last election 30 years ago.
It’s time we moved into the next century. Holding up Reagan at every turn is akin to the Dems telling us FDR was the be-all end-all.
We must take Reagan’s ideals and move them forward. Or we lose. It’s really that simple.
Fine by me if he is...
Anti-Ted Cruz people are pushing Perry.
Well said. Right on.
I had a problem with Perry accusing Romnney of crony capitalism. Romney had a lot of faults as a candidate. Crony capitalism was not one of them.
La Raza Rick ? Give me a break.
Aren’t we all.
Rick Perry is good, but I would like him as sec of energyin a Cruz/Palin administration.
Sarah Palin is not going to run, and we need Ted Cruz in the Senate.
As for Perry’s 2012 screw-ups, political history is rich with the stories ofg candidates who were “damaged goods” redeeming themselves in subsequent elections.
Richard Nixon managed to get himself elected president twice after losing to JFK in the 1960 presidential election and then getting beaten by Pat Brown in the race for Governor of California two years later.
Mark Sanford ended his term as governor of South Carolina in disgrace after he admitted that he had an affair. But Sanford came back to win the election against Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch for an open seat in the U.S. House, despite being heavily outspent by Democrats and without the backing of national Republicans.
I was very much against Perry in 2012, but after four more years of Obama, I’d vote for Perry. I would also back either Walker or Jindal. Let’s have a governor for president this time. No more one-term Senators for president, please. This most recent one is an unmitigated disaster.
Perry’s OK—Just keep him away from the bottle.
Problem is which is the real Rick Perry? The one who can deliver a prepared speech? Or the one who has the deer-in-the-headlights look and can’t think on his feet at the debate?
I think Perry has had his day. I am curious about the black doctor— I think his name is Ben Carson—a neurosurgeon at John Hopkins. Billary has millions in the war chest —it will be tough. What, the GOP of which I am a member on paper, is going to put forth another McCain or Romney?
Yeah, the Trans Texas Corridor means that Perry srewed up by supporting it. I can find something equally negative about any potential presidential candidate.
No one has been s stronger supporter of Sarah Palin than I am. I blogged for her for seven years. Yet she endorsed John McCain in 2012 and continues to defend him to this day. That is putting loyalty over what is best for the country. It doesn’t make me like her any less, but it has made me become more forgiving of other politicians’ flaws.
Perry has the Corridor and Guardasil against him. But he’s smart enough to learn from his mistakes. The most critical problems facing the country right now is jobs. Perry has shown that he knows how to put policies in place which lead to the creation of jobs. Texas is responsible for one-third of all the jobs being created in the nation right now. We need to get people working again in America, and Perry has proven that he knows how to do that.
Does anyone doubt that he would bust his butt to get Keystone XL built and start drilling on federal land again? I’m pretty sure he would rescue our armed forces from Obama’s path to destroy them. If we don’t increase the workforce and build our military back up, none of the other issues facing the country will matter.
Ted Cruz, as an American of Mexican descent might be the guy. I hate playing identity politics, but the other side uses it for all its worth. What we need is a one armed black/latino lesbian dwarf that can speak Spanish, make sushi and dance to good house music.
